Default Does the car seem to slow down with the check engine light on? (Stillen Supercharger)

I've been having check engine light about 3-4 months after my SC installation and does the car seem to slow down or is this just a placebo effect?

I recently changed the spark plugs in my car and it had no check engine light for about 3 days, after that the check engine light came on again.

Also, do any of you have any suggestions on why the check engine light keeps turning on and what to do to make this engine light go off?

Thanks as usual everyone.

i have the stillen supercharger as well and have this problem. I have the codes for multiple cylinder misfire and banks to rich. I am going back to have the tune checked to see if I am running to rich and to have colder plugs put in. I hope this will fix the problem. I think my problem is the fact that the car was tuned for a warm climate here in flordia and it has been in the 60-80 relm which would cause a rich condition but better than being lean when the temps start to touch 100. if you happen to find out a solution please let me know.

Mine isn't SC but got the same thing after about a week. Was told I had a misfire on 1. Checked the spark plug, not it, removed the ignition coil for about 30 min and it went away for about a month. It came back, so I have ordered a new coil and hoping that will solve the problem. Nissan mech told me that it's either the plug or coil and yes I can notice the diffrence.

I got the CE light on regularly with a code for the trans. I ended up purchasing an inexpensive code reader from a Chinese vendor ($50 = tmart.com) and cleared it once a week or whenever needed.

I never found it to run differently.

Another thing you may want to check is the lower seal on the injector that seals against the lower manifold. If your running DW injectors they may also be a culprit since DW injectors are "rebuilt" units that may differ from injector to injector.
For some reason I can't link a MotoIQ article, but if you go there you can search for it. It's called Tuners:Test Your Injectors

JNAULT had is tuned at the shop he uses. (might be H&R) They used the same tune that RCZ had on his car but even thought the tunes were the same and the setup the same I ended up making 20hp more than he did on the same dyno.

So Jason installed it and HP Logic tuned it.

Explains it all.

You guys shouldn't ignore the misfire codes. I'm sure there's a reason for that

4 other cars installed by Jason and tuned by Jack all had those misfires including me.

I still have the issue. Maybe its a huge coincidence.

I think the weather thing that you are saying is true. It was fine but suddenly when it got really cold, my car got the "service engine soon" light again.

Do not ignore misfire codes. Its telling you the code for a good reason. Car can not compensate enough and is misfiring. Not good for engine long term. I'm not trying to troll, but I do have a GTM supercharger and I have been in temps over 100 degrees (car hates it of course) and all the way down to -20 without any problems other than a really cold car.

So what do I need to do in order to stop it from misfiring?
