To be nice I'll leave my post out of the announcement on this site. I'll just say that reading your announcement just makes me laugh. Proclaiming you are the leader

Nice work on getting the CARB approval, but that's really for California guys that care about that stuff. You guys are nice guys so hopefully no hard feelings but the hype over CARB approval should be just that...the rest can be left out it just begs people like myself to say something.

I remember goin to hot import nights and watching the cops "sniff" cars as they drove by. They were like flies on sh*t. I know in texas you don't have to worry abotu that but here in cali its worth getting instead of rippin everything off your car to solve a "fix it" ticket. I think you should open mouth and insert foot home boy!

I think you are missing my point...home boy. I said the CARB approval is a good thing. Only people from California people really need something like that so to make it some big OH MAN WE ARE THE **** WE ARE LEGAL EVERYWHERE NOW and the other stuff about being industry leading and "first" is not necessary. It's all hype.

What kind of countless hours of exhausting work was needed to be "legal" in all the other 49 states? And seriously...improving the supercharger tuning was put on hold to get the CARB approval taken care of? I'm pretty sure there are more than just 5 guys working at Stillen. Seems like there is a whole team of engineers, I would think they'd be able to accomplish both!

Again, my point was just to post that you got your CARB approval and that's it...the rest is BS.

If you don't think people look at the CARB cert outside of Cali, you are mistaken. Even if you don't have to have it, you still get the benefit of knowing that your car can pass anywhere. Also, Cali is probably the biggest market for used sales when you want to move on. CARB is a big deal. I remember high end places like JWT trying for years to get this back in the 350Z days....and failing.

Well I certainly wasn't trying to say that nobody cares about it outside of California, but I am definitely one that doesn't go purchase a car down the street and wonder if it's CARB approved. It's obviously a matter of opinion who cares and who doesn't. The nice thing is that it's CARB approved now...but all they fluff around it was what I'm pointing out.

FYI, did a little reaserch and found this...

"Currently, 16 other states have either adopted, or are in the process of adopting, California's strict emissions standards. These states include New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Maryland, Florida, and several others."

link: HowStuffWorks "CARB"

I had no idea anyone else had adopted these standards yet.

I've heard stories that Texas is considering it as well. I personally think the cleaner emissions is a must have, so maybe one day I'll have to suck it up and just get rid of my toys...but first I'd like to see them be stricter on not allowing some of these old beat up clunkers that you see black smoke coming out the back. There are so many lazy, neglectful people out there on the road, more so then there are people like us who have a nice new car with performance mods on them, that don't take care of their vehicles and run them into the ground and pollute the air worse than us.
