Single turbo setups are usually cheaper and easier to setup, and they tend to be easier to shoehorn in, as the systems are typically much less complex. The big reason a lot of people run a single turbo is to make big power numbers. You don't usually get the quick response of a twin turbo, but once boost hits, you can make much bigger numbers. |

![]() MASS produced single turbo systems are generally less expensive than MASS produced twin turbo systems because they require less accessories (turbo, wastegate, blow off valve). Twins typically include 2 smaller turbos that produce better low end and mid range power. A single turbo typically includes 1 larger turbo that takes a bit longer to spool, but will provide a lot of top end power. I prefer the power delivery of a single turbo since I'm into drag racing. Twins are better suited for most road courses.

I stopped by a couple times, but I think you were pretty mobbed with people most of the time I was even more impressed with the quality of the install in person-- I really hope you get the throttle position stuff worked out. I believe the Z will respond better to a single turbo setup than it has to the twins. |
