On my old turbo G35, I ran an ACT 6-puck clutch and Fidanza flywheel. Granted the car made under 400wtq, the clutch NEVER slipped for the 50k miles it was boosted. I'm curious to know what all you turbo guys/gals (wishful thinking) are running for clutch setups? I've seen a lot builds with the OS Giken, but I think that's a bit overkill.

Unfortunately not much clutch choices that would hold the torque and be nice enough to be daily driven... i've tried them all on my old z33 TT.
We literally just tried to see if we can do TT installs without a clutch in the beginning, on Nigel's car. didnt do too well, lol Lasted about 150miles on it. With clutches, you get what you pay for... even with the abuse that I put my old Z33 through, was making about 474rwhp and 47x tq, the Giken twin disc was perfectly fine. plus i drove from nassau county to work in suffolk county then to the upper west side of manhattan EVERYDAY, in traffic! if i get bold enough, i'd take a pic of my left and right legs, they're still proportional ![]()

I ordered a Southbend DXD Stage 4 with new flywheel along with an HD CSC kit. I don't now much about this stuff, but my car will be a daily driven boosted car pushing around 420-470 whp.

HD CSC ordered from ZSpeed. I wonder if Concept Z is selling the same product. It comes prefitted with ss lines, so there is no need to purchase a clutch line upgrade.

I will be running the JWT clutch/flywheel combo with the concept Z heavy duty CSC. My install should be getting done the first or second week of April, so I'll let you know how the setup feels.

Aaaaand my stock csc died a few weeks after posting this. My advice, buy the metal csc, might as well install it while youre in there. Will save you money in the long run. |
