In before someone asks "Can I pass emissions testing with this setup?"

On a more serious note, this has got to be hell for ANY kind of cat. They run hot to begin with, but this... I imagine you'd have to run without a cat.

You probably wont pass emissions with any turbo system.... and no I wouldnt run a cat with a rear mount system. A friend of mine has one on his 350 that we put together for about 3k. He has been running the piss out of it for about a year now with no probs. He has the VQ35DE and hit 390whp on 8psi.
He doesnt drive in the rain so no worry about water, and his filter gets just as dirty as before with it in the front. Plus he doesnt have to worry about moving power steering lines or frying anything that might be in the general vacinity of the turbo..... Oh and he is at full boost around 3200......

The STS system is actually designed to be installed cat back. STS actually has the best chance of getting CARB certification and have already done so on several of their kits. I didn't go with STS because they have not done an HR/VHR motor yet.

For those thinking about being the first, here is a C&P from an email I got from them:

Hi Terry, Here is some Video of some of the 350-Z's and G-35's that we have out there..... Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions!!! Thanks,
