How are the intakes secured? From all of the pictures I have seen, it looks as if they are hanging there.

They are not supported by a bracket or anything, but once all of the hose clamps are tightened down, it is pretty secure. The tubing is so short and the assembly is so light that I suppose Stillen didn't see a need for a support piece.

I'm an engineer by day, and I don't care how light-weight something is, it still needs support. The fact of the matter is that that the intake still has weight, and that weight is positioned a few inches from that coupling, which causes a bending moment. I don't see why Stillen wouldn't take the extra effort to ensure it is secure? It just seems lazy to me... Thanks for answering my question, FSP. The install does look good though.
