I'm an engineer by day, and I don't care how light-weight something is, it still needs support. The fact of the matter is that that the intake still has weight, and that weight is positioned a few inches from that coupling, which causes a bending moment. I don't see why Stillen wouldn't take the extra effort to ensure it is secure? It just seems lazy to me...

Thanks for answering my question, FSP. The install does look good though.
What kind of an engineer?
