just seen the second part of your post. when i did my dyno i did 460 to the wheels and that was a conservative tune. When sam sent me my new tune it was noticably faster on the butt dyno. I will get a new one when spring comes to confirm the actual power but I am betting it is 500 or a little more

That said... why has no one just bolted up a AWD G37 trans?

THAT would be a sweeeet project!

Or (less challenging), just boost one of those

Seriously guys take this else where. Also this was never said to be done in 1 month so get your facts straight. It was also said if things go well it would have been finished in august... That was said in May... Sam already had a block ready to go... We found out that the piston heads wouldn't match well with the VVEL top end so we had custom ones ordered and made to our specs which took 2-3 weeks... Seriously people need to chill out. Yes we were hopeful and optimistic to have it done around the august time frame but with SEMA and magazine shoots the car had to leave Sam's shop several times to go get work done at other shops... Not to mention the car was gone from GTM for 2 weeks for SEMA... Also Sam had other customer's cars needing to be built an I remember everyone whining about my car getting a fast track in front of other people which turned out to be completely bogus!!! Sooo if you have a complaint go cry to someone who cares because we don't... It's my car an my build and honestly I don't care what haters think...

I got the Sti for customer appearance... I do sales along with running my company... If I drive up in the Z people are going to think they pay me too much... Simply the Z will still be daily driven I just needed another car for work.

I like the impreza too, the owners of a place I always hang out at have a WRX but a older model. subaru blue paint and golden rims and 350whp.

its a constant fight between me and the wife on who's car is better.

I would have gotten a bmw but for me the insurance on this was dirt cheap and the price was below market value so I capitalized on it. BMW's are great but I would have gotten a Z4 or an M3 and then I am in the same boat again as the Z... I do work with a lot of people that range from white collared companies to blue collared manufacturing plants. Stroll in on a manufacturing plant in a BMW and they think your ballin out of control... Why give this guy your hard earned money. Stroll in with a WRX Wagon and you think practical person having to work hard for their money.... It all perception and creating the right perception with the customer right off the bat helps me gain new customers and keep the ones I already have. Plus when you are charging them over $120/hr for services. The subaru says my costs are higher and therefore my prices are justified. Stroll in with an M3 and they think your ripping them off...

This is just something I have learned over the years...

Really thats what all that says???? Some of my Cisco route/switch services rang from 160-$240 an hour and Im pretty sure I could still sell a boat load of services regardless if I pull up in my Amuse Z or Acura RDX or 240sx, your too funny. I believe its the person/attitude not the car, hey but thats just my thoughts.

Thats not even including the fact Subie = Surprise Buttsecks.

Awesome philosophy Bullitt, I completely agree with you on that.

Subie = Awesome yet PRACTICAL car.

BMW = Status car.
