I always laugh at how people handle ****.
They bitch if the parts from the build aren't mass produced, and when someone is chill enough to let that extra time be taken on their build, they harass them.... |
werd.
i want 1000hp. and i want it by tomorrow. |

mad props to Bullitt and GTM for enduring this "roasting". Can't wait for the end result and benefits to the Z community at large! Heck! I'd be happy with a VVEL tune!
|
i need more money to meet the growing needs of my mod bug.
|
Mike and Sam have continued to be the pioneers for R&D and aftermarket parts for the Z. I'm sure the haters would rather we get crappy parts that don't optimize performance. Frankly, Mike and Sam don't want this build to be a one off, they want to pave the way for any person brave and rich enough to want to follow.
|
Most of the haters won't be able to use any of the new parts. As they don't drive 370's at all, makes me wounder why they would give a sh!t how long it takes.
|
Hater is what keep the forum going and trolls. People dont understand. No one else will do a build like this for the Z. Im still excited to see the results and the new prodcuts coming out. Hope the build goes well.

what new parts are being recreated?

Since I'm in a bit of a crunch and cannot afford technical challenges beyond the TT setup, I'm going to hold off the VR38 plenum project for awhile. I was really hoping for something similar to Mike's setup with BOVs located in the engine bay. |

BOVs on a GTM kit are already on the cold side of the IC. It's just a matter of moving them closer towards the TBs. They did it on this one:

Bumping in anticipation of epic results..
-Where oh Where can the 1000+whp #'s be? Where OH WHERE? :hello: |
This build came up in conversation twice in the Formula Drift Pro/Am garage in Charlotte, NC yesterday. Conversations were about what HP the 35DE, 35HR, and 37 engines can do with turbos (stock vs built) - conversation one was about comparing to Sikky LSx swaps and conversation two was about comparing to the R35 platform. I wasn't sure what the top HP dynos are currently on the 370, but knew that you guys have been shooting to be the first to 1000hp on the 370 for a while now.
I haven't been on here long enough to know - and I hope this question isn't too far off-topic, but what's the most HP that anyone's seen so far on a dyno sheet for the 370 platform? I'm just wondering how much of a leap forward this 1000+hp build represents compared to the next highest? Thanks! |
Welcome! :)
From a quick search, I honestly have not seen a 370Z make more than 600whp (stock block). The highest boost is no more than 12 PSI. Take a look at the torque curve from these motors as the boost gets increased... interesting? 500whp http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...tml#post758798 http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...e-monster.html http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...tq-11-psi.html However, this is probably the most I've seen from a VQ37 stock block: http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...p-474rwtq.html |

It is a pretty freaking big jump. I haven't seen anything in the 700 range even. |
ifit's just vq37's then there was the g37 gtm did that was dyno'd at like 700 or 800 something, the last shop car
|
The power and torque curves look identical even as the boost goes up, hp is still climbing at the end of every run regardless of the psi being run which is pretty impressive.

I bet that has a lot to do with VVEL, especially as it applies to supercharged setups. But I guess that is just speculative until some real world results from GTM come out, it will be very interested to see what kind of gains cracking VVEL will give not only to FI guys but also N/A setups.
|
Holy crap... I wonder how GTM is doing with the intake manifold and collector. After watching this video... I can't imagine simply slapping this thing onto our engines O_o

If it's possible and happens, good. If not, no harm done. did YOU have balls to go out there and try what no one else could? then please don't bash...what's the point? |

Wow you guys are acting like a bunch of teenagers behind a keyboard:
http://www.nakedfanmail.com/wp-conte...+Limpet+21.jpg You guys collectively get my initial build thread there locked with your ignorance and harassment. Then you make another thread which doesnt get any head way and dies in two pages... then you make another thread to yet again try to bash me over there with ignorant BS posts and a huge circle jerk session of hate on the build... As I told you I will not be posting any results and I will be asking GTM to refrain from posting any details/results of my build on my350z... Yes the car is running and yes the car has dyno #'s. However, we are developing a whole new intake manifold and we have chosen to hold the release of numbers until we finish development on this intake. You guys from my350z are the most dense idiots I have ever encountered on a forum... Seriously, I tell you I am not going to post results until finished and you b!tch and complain and scream newb and liar... Your community posts and I quote "POST DYNO OR GTFO NEWB." SERIOUSLY?!?!?! You expect someone to release info to your community when your whole mission is to attempt (poorly I might add) to piss someone off and pressure them into giving you fuel for your little hater parade. Sooo unless you have something to credibly add to the discussion of my build GTFO! You are not welcome here with your little antics and attitude. This community unlike my350z is not full of douche bags and you can quote me on that! Because I know your going to run over there and go look what he said blah blah blah... hate hate hate... Without any more discussion on this subject the car is running fine and is slated to be at a show later this month and in our shop afterward for new UAM parts and then to SEMA again. |

But being serious, that's not even a good computer set up...come on you need a better pic than that. |

Glad you got that out of your system!
Why do you keep bringing up my350z? |
Quote:

Let me rephrase, before I get the "GTFO TROLL" comment
Stop defending yourself! You hit your goal! GREAT! You hint at coming innovations, with no avail! I guess that's what the community HERE is so anxiously awaiting. Almost like the second coming of christ! |
I gave up on this some time ago. It's gonna be done when its done. And if it's not, then who cares? At least new parts are supposed to be coming for the community out of this whole thing.
Bullit is the only one who should be b1tching about the time it's taking to complete the build because he has not been able to drive the car in over a year like I am sure he would. Bullit, if it were me, I would stop providing updates and giving deadlines for when stuff is supposed to be done, it's not your fault things get delayed, but unfortunately, you are loosing credibility because of it. Not bashing, just my 2cents. |
Thanks Ron. Development takes time... I'm just tired of the is it done yet questions or the post dyno results newb responses it's ignorant and trifling.
It's one of those lose lose situations for me at the moment... I don't say anything and people's imaginations fly off the handle bars and weired accusations fly around. If I do stand up and say something then people automatically think I am pissed or something when in all reality I am cracking up over the stupidity and lack of life people have by being persistent on trying to piss me off. Like you said there are things out of my hands that have kept me from having the car back... GTM has a very rigorous development process and I have had many talks with Sam over it. They are working hard but are perfectionists when it comes to designing a product... If they can squeeze 10-15 more hp out of it they will take another week to do it... If anyone is allowed to be upset about the timeline it's me... Not people who have not invested into this project or even this car model... I appreciate responses like Ron's! Thanks Ron! |
I said the same thing!
Thanks Rod! |
