Nope found nothing. Seems Mike is still the first.

RCZ 07-01-2011 02:07 PM

Honestly, at this point I would have rather slapped a built GTR engine in there, that wouldve been way cool.

cool but not really worth the extra money if they had the same results
I think they will be able to make what that GT-R made.

The question is, will it be daily drive as GTR? will it be drivability as GTR?

hmmm I dont think you can ever compare 37VHR to that beast machine

I thing was discussed by some people in thread of guy was thinking of making the swap and the GT-R is really a beast with the whole design not just the engine. 370s can really make more hp with a tt than a stock GT-R (540 whp not flywheel) and that's for a DD but the GT-R will still have a better performance in a 1/4 than 370s do because it's not all in the engine when it comes to the GT-R. and it's simply not worth the swap the engine might cost the same as the white dragon project!!

Nissanboy 07-03-2011 02:11 AM

subscribed. I'm going to be doing the same bore and stroke mod so I really want to see how this turns out :excited:

There the only ones attempting. Posting a vid of a R35 doesn't really prove anything or discredit this build. I didn't understand the point of your post? But patience is a problem in this thread. When he does post the 1000hp mark everyone will still be saying about time and still not give the respect. Some guys here (not saying you) act as if it's owed to them.

Epic def.: monumental, vast, legendary feats, heroic deeds.

Hmmm... a stretch?

Z eliminator 07-05-2011 06:49 AM

I can not wait to run a GTR with my Stage 2 GTM SC. in the 1/4 mile. im going 12.42 now all motor with 309 SAE rwhp. Now let say that the GTM makes 500 rwp. and im say 700 lbs lighter . 11.41 to 11.37 1/4 mile times should take a 2009 to 10 GTR 11.71 1/4 mile times. Right now we ar 0.71 seconds apart with no forced induction on the car.
Jnaunt car run 12.22 / he is only 0.51 seconds and he is on street tires.

NYBladeZ 07-05-2011 10:43 AM

jnaunt has a higher rear gear ratio as mentioned in the other thread, I believe the gears are a great mod but if you add forced induction how will you maintain driveability and get any traction?

The myth of short gears being bad with FI is just that... a myth.

For the owner this may be true but I think we may be referring to what the shop is doing to build the car. That takes more than money.

OP (Bullitt)

I noticed in another thread that you have *2009 1000hp+ GTM 4.5L TT 370z*
in your sig.. so I guess you can post up those dyno's now?

Jamaica 07-13-2011 03:01 PM

I noticed that too and found it odd, but didn't bother stoking the fire.

SparkleCityHop 07-13-2011 09:47 PM

Wow, long thread... Also, man, that was a gutsy first post before the build even started. :) I guess there's no questioning your confidence in your own abilities.

Sounds like you're close. Sub'd for final results.

From the beginning, I've tried to understand that builds like this take awhile and that being an innovator for the whole 370Z community takes time... but when you say things like ^ and it's been nearly a month since that comment, I feel like you're kind of digging your own grave. This is one of the reasons why there are so many "haters".

I'm anxious to see the build complete, but saying comments like the above and not sticking to them just adds fuel to the fire for the rest of the haters.

It's as simple as "Put-up or Shut-up"
I am sure many are curious as to why he would put that in his sig, when his car hasn't accomplished anything?
I am also sure that if the "WhiteDragon" had hit those #'s, GTM would be posting up on every board that they sponsor.

So lets be real here.. There is no hating going on... Simply searching for the truth, between the hype. And all I am seeing is a bunch of smoke and mirrors.
(funny, seen this all before)

If you really care so much about someone else build why don't you call sam and ask? Instead of bugging why you have this , why this? Get over it . It's done when it done.

First of all you guys suck at reading time and time again.... I have told you that results will be posted when everything is finished... GTM has been working hard to make this a reproduce able kit and components.... so if I tell you we arent posting results until its COMPLETELY finished it means just that!!!! We are testing different versions of each component! We went threw 4+ lower intake manifolds and the last two weeks has been trying to come out with a symmetrical fuel rail system. 2150cc Injectors are not small and the entire fuel rail has to be assembled on the bench before being installed... that is the only way they will go in and mount up correctly. You guys act like you know everything about this build when you are far from the truth and have very little knowledge on what we have been doing for the past few months! So take a chill pill sit back and enjoy the new products that are being made available to you guys when this is all complete

This car could have been done last year... however, when Sam asked me if I would be willing to allow him to make production parts from my car I said ok... 6 extra months is no problem for me however some of you are all wigged out over this :icon14:

We have had a delay this week when one of the key team members has gone ill this week and we hope to begin working on the car again on friday.

Mike
