So how will the gears affect the SC? Will you have to shift real quick on the first 3 gears? You didnt lose a gear (still have 7) by going to the 4.08 did you? You use a diff from a 350Z?

I know you've probably posted it before, but what are your current 60' times? are you doing any other "tricks" to get the ET down? Sway bar removal? suspension changes etc?

Also what kind of RPM are you crossing the traps at? I've never driven the auto in a drag race type situation.

Build a GTR to drag and it's no contest...

Anyways, I'm interested to see what times you put down.

No sure why're your always comparing to an GTR, doesn't matter how fast your Z is, GTR > Z always. No offence to the Z owners, the Z is still an awesome awesome car. It's like you have a 1000hp honda accord, braging that that you beat a Ferrari... it proves nothing... Simply out classed. GTR and Z are both Nissan, we should stick together.

I can definitely understand shooting for the GTR its similar to sibling rivalry, always want to bring down big brother. However, you really can't compare, the fun factor in the Z greatly exceeds the GTR. The GTR may be a missile but the Z is an enthusiasts car.

Not sure of why he chooses to compare it to, but it is a solid fight. The GT-R from factory is a TT 3.8L engine, the Z is a NA 3.7L. Throw on some forced induction (Z) and it becomes an interesting fight through the straights. It is not about saying A is greater than B, but just because you can.

I was thinking that haha...you'll be a great match for a gt-r...assuming they haven't got a simple Cobb stage 2 shelf tune...because they will blow you away, sc or not if thats the case.

You realize that what you posted above is EXACTLY what Porsche owners say at the track after being spanked by GTRs... With all that said... there will always be a car better and faster - however - in terms of what would be more fun to drive a X whp Z or the same X whp GTR? it would be no contest... I would pick the Z all the time...

personally i think the fun factor is significantly reduced with the absence of a third pedal. Couple that with the fact that i prefer rear wheel drive over all wheel drive (in a very general comparison) i think i would have more fun in a boosted Z than the GTR.

But the GTR looks so tits , sure it doesn't have a third pedal, but it's still a major
rush to drive.

Are you quoting some marked up GT-R price there? In the US, the cost is "only" about 130% more for a GT-R (and that is STOCK versus STOCK). You numbers seem to extremely exagerate the difference with a stock versus stock of over 200% more.

And once you slay a mighty GT-R, what will be your encore when they add a $900 Cobb Access Port?
