The unburned fuel hits the hot core and it causes the fuel to combust. Having this happen for a prolonged period of time makes the cat hot enough to melt. This happened to a lot of guys running Berk and other brand's HFC's on the 350, now most people just run test pipes on FI applications. Last edited by 350z 6spd; 12-12-2010 at 08:47 PM.
