I want reliability. LOL I want to be able to turn up the air and fuel I have now. The chassis can only support so much power before it is very difficult to drive.
Now that I have one and have driven it, I know exactly what Mike and Seb were talking about.

The biggest problem is weeding through all the hype about stuff with no data to support if it works or not. Pain in my butt.

You can drive them hard but you have to turn it down a bit. You can't run them that way on the street anyway. Car is just too fast. I am not running around on my highest boost setting but I do run it that way on the 718hp setting all day long. I have been on the 12psi setting and the 21psi setting before though. I just gravitate to the middle setting.

Picked up my new front facia today from Nissan. I don't have enough time to get it painted before Wannagofast. Oh well. Tie straps on the bumper and here we go. Time to do front/rear brakes tomorrow. I want new brakes and pads on the car before Wannagofast and I need to have them good and broke in.

I have had more of a chance to think about this. This is the way I feel about it.
I will use Joby just as an example.

Say, Joby wants a ride. I give him one at my normal 17psi of boost level.

Joby: "Wow, it is fast but I thought it would have more."
Me: "OK, I will turn it up to high boost."

We make a run and something goes wrong. A head gaskets blows.
Me: "Oh crap, this is going to be expensive".
Me: "SOB, it is going to be 16k to 20k to get the motor redone."
Me: "How fast can I get the car back in the shop and how long is
this going to take?"
Me: "I am screwed, it is going to be a year before MA-Motorsports can get
to my car. This sucks."
Joby: "Sorry man, I hate to hear that, while walking away."


So ya see, he has a damn good point. We all know reliability starts
to be an issue around 800whp. I am right at it. My motor could pop
a head gasket at any time running high boost, just like other folks have. At the end of the day it was my choice to do the build the way I have. I am
responsible for it and the way I choose to drive it. It's just the way it is at the moment. One guy sold his car because of the issue and totally got out. I can understand that. I may would do the same.

I honestly have no idea who y’all are talking about. I understand not running the machine at high boost, but why not just run it at low or medium boost at the event?

The biggest difference is from 12 psi of boost to 17 psi of boost.
Joby is just getting all excited because it spun the tires in 3rd. If I knew
that is all it took to get him excited I could have let it spin in 3rd at the 17 psi setting. LMAO!!!!! There is a difference between 17psi of boost and 21psi. It is just not as great as the 12psi to 17psi setting.

So, that is comparing the following:

12psi of boost on E85: 606hp
17psi of boost on E85: 718hp
21psi of boost on E85: 780hp

All of these hp were measured in 4th gear.

One more mod before Zdayz next year if all goes well. I have to wait for the bank account to fill back up. Don't ask because I am not telling.

3000 miles on the beast. No issues. Next oil change next weekend at 2000 miles. I am driving it a little over 124 miles a day and enjoying every minute of it. I have to be careful jumping on the interstate. The moron in front of me today thought that getting on an interstate with traffic in the 75-80mph range at 45mph was a good idea. I was able to sneak around him quickly, then the rear end stepped out a bit. I am sure the 3 lanes of traffic behind me got one heck of a show. Oops. I was laughing....

After lurking for a while, I guess you are right. I don't see anyone else driving their cars like they were built to do. Such a shame and waste of money.

I have been researching ways to stiffen our chassis. I guess folks have never noticed it twisting at this power level. Baffles me.

I looked at their stuff. I just don't like the stuff hanging underneath the car like it does. I will not be able to clear anything on the road.

That is also not a wise decision for a street car. I would need to wear a helmet while driving the car on the street. If something happened and I hit my head on the roll bar it would not be good if I didn't have a helmet on. I will probably do a 5 point RPM rollbar. I am looking at all the options.
