Sounds like you got it all figured out. Good luck.

I have figured out what doesn't work. LOL Maybe this next step I will get it right.

I am not as good as Dylan is at SOHO on breaking chit but I am running a close 2nd place. That's for damn sure. I am ready for somebody else to take the lead on killing engines. If Dylan can't kill his engine, It should hold up to my abuse.

I'm not sure what you are doing for an ECU, but I know you can 100% monitor that with MS3Pro and a Rife combo sensor (pressure and temp). Then a trigger can be set to take your car to limp mode of your choosing. If you currently don't have that functionality then you may have found a great reason to upgrade.

Only works for ls not vq, duh! :happydance:

Haltech Nexus looks promising but the ecu isn't the issue here, the bargain basement engine block we got saddled with is (my opinion). If mine goes pop again I'm going VK.

Hah, kinda sorta. I've been talking to Frank with motorvate (sp?) and he is looking to decode the BCM to make a plug and play to MS3Pro. That could open doors for people doing what ever swaps/VQ.

That reminds me... I need to poke that bear again.

I am not giving up. I got the right folks to help me push through all this BS so I can finish my build the way I want it. I have not been able to do my Motec upgrade or my transmission upgrade because the dang headlift issue.

The Haltech Nexus may be a good option instead of a Motec. Motec traction control is going to be hard to beat.

I am hoping for the best for you. I don't ever intend to chase the power level's you are at, the cost disparity between 700whp and 1k is too much for me. That and where the hell am I even going to use what I have on a 75sq mile island :rofl2:

There isn’t a plug n play available, you would have to pay someone to make. But it does have can protocols and supports the vvel.

WOW, maybe I know something you don't. That is not saying I am going that way by any means.

whats better about motec traction control vs nexus
nexus traction control suite looks pretty full featured to me

https://www.haltech.com/tag/traction-control/

dunno if advanced torque control is available on the nexus. not sure why it wouldn't be tho. maybe a license fee?

out of the box tho:

https://youtu.be/CvO-bswMwic?t=921

think there are a variety of cut methods, ignition and boost i think, not sure what others.
you can set slip table, slip % vs road speed vs gear

think you can have a trim input for multiple levels of traction control as well.

Spooler 11-09-2021 06:44 PM

Motec has their own algorithm that takes those inputs and adjust for what to do. So NO, they are not the same.

Ordered my new Nissan heated O2's today. Want to install them this weekend if I have time. I have been procrastinating.

Spooler 11-11-2021 03:58 PM

Sitting here twiddling my thumbs. I really did want to work on my car on my day off. I am ready to go for a drive but not with the O2's acting up.

Spooler 11-11-2021 06:42 PM

Well, my parts delivery date got moved from today to Friday. I should get them, I hope.
