Car is running excellent. It made 870whp at 23psi of boost with only 15deg of timing. The max IAT's were 116deg in a 95deg shop after the 5th pull which is very good. I kept my same turbo's and installed the 1.06AR exhaust housings. The engine loves them. It is not laggy at all. Will be fine tuning it there. I do not see any reason to turn it up on the dyno anymore. I have the data I need. When I made 900whp at 25psi of boost at RT tuning the IAT's were 158deg. Way too hot to the point I couldn't use it. The turbo kit is now extremely efficient with the upgrades we made.

Congrats, my brother!

Now it is time to start enabling all the FUN!! features of the Emtron. LOL

I can't wait to share some pictures of the new build. It is off the dang chart.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Just to get on everyone's nerves. LOL
That had to go. It was getting on my nerves. It has been interesting to see folks come and go to read the thread on what I have been up too. |

I always wanted a CJ Motorsport intake. It's sick.

I have a ton of data. I am still debating on what I am going to do with it. Share it or not. It has cost a mint to get it.
|
I will share a little bit here.
My drive pressure ratio with my current turbos. 42 psi emap 23psi of boost from MAP sensor 42/(23+14.7) = 1.11 ratio I am golden. 1.50 is the get nervous point where it shows I need larger turbos. You can go higher but it is not wise. EGT's showed no restriction in the Fast Intentions exhaust manifolds. The highest the IAT's got was 116deg. That is in a 95 deg shop and after 5 pulls on the dyno. It never got any higher. It's dead on the money. The front bumper was on the car. I did 870whp at 23psi of boost. I can go higher but no need to share here. |
The intercooler size was dead on the money. 28x12x4.5
Going to the larger 1.06 exhaust housings was a wise move. My engine wanted them. It revs even faster now and the drive pressure is real good. Whoever says use the .82AR exhaust housings needs to be kicked in the nuts. With the ported heads and larger valves that is a definite NO. |
Drivability testing is under way. Got to check the rolling antilag out also.
|
Getting closer. Rolling Anit-lag is working off the Cruise cancel button.
|
Just about done. Driveability testing is done. Waiting for a part to come in. One last thing to do.
|
Ecutek can't do this.
|
My Z34 has an M150 which we are progressively implementing tunable traction control - I have a rotary switch on my steering wheel to alter the permissible slip percentage.
This allows tuning of traction regardless of grip levels (eg: when we are racing in full wet conditions all the way thru a wet track drying out to a damp track to full dry). The Motec traction strategy is pretty good. |

My one last part finally showed up. Not much longer.

Car is home.

She is really rowdy now. I am having fun again.

The car is on a whole new level this time. Faster than ever. Real rolling anitlag is awesome.
|
It's 87 deg outside and cruising down the interstate the IAT's were 80 deg. Coolant pressure stayed at 10-12psi. Coolant temps were at 197 deg. The only time I ever saw the coolant pressure up was when the car was warming up and the thermostat was closed. 15psi or so.
|
The car turned out perfect. MA outdid themselves this time. The only thing Fast Intentions on the car now is the exhaust manifolds, 3in exhaust with Carbon Fiber mufflers, and 3in downpipes. Everything else is custom. This time it was dang expensive. You get what you pay for. Real rolling antilag is off the chart and hits way harder than Ecutek ever did. It's rowdy.
|
My Mazworx engine was built back just like it was before. Nothing was changed.

If you have questions ask. I will answer what I feel comfortable answering.

This has been a massively expensive lesson. I would share but nobody helped me with the bill on this rebuild. I have learned a ton.
|
I hope you're finally enjoying the car after all the hard work! Are you going to do anything 60-130 or 1/4 mile related?
