I would agree the v7 would be capable of more power .... but I wouldn’t say it would make more power at the same boost level. If both blowers are running 10 lbs boost I would say the c38 is a better choice .... more efficient 97% vs 78%... higher rpm 90k vs 66k ... now if you need more boost than 12pbs then the v7 would be the way to go .... the c38r should run higher than 12lbs ... I would say 16 ish.

Are you looking at trying to change the impeller on the c38 to get a few more lbs of boost ...I was looking at that myself ..but needed a backup plan if I trashed the unit....back up plan being a c38r lol

No, got 80mm pulley, 85mm is close to maxing our sc, but I did all the math and by bringing the cars redline to approx 7k I should be fine, that be close to 15lbs of boost or more, I don’t redline my car a lot And like to make as much torque as early as possible, with ecutek tuning it’s a simple trial, if not Just switch back to 85mm.

Some added jwt cams, flywheel, clutch etc etc will contribute also

And then wait for c38r result so cuz you all know I’ll get it know matter what

You might want to recheck your math .....85mm puts you just over 90k at 7k rpm

With the 85mm my redline is Just under 7500, not overspinning at all, I do all my logs that I send to seb and motor cuts out 74k n some change, I’ll get it on a dyno as soon as it’s retuned , spoke with techs at rotrex and kraftwerksusa where I got the pulley, said should be fine at 7k redline, guess I will find out lol

Jinxx it’s a win win either way, the pulley works And I make a little more power or I destroy the sc unit and get the c38r , don’t see the down side do you?

The down side could be contamination. If your supercharger chews itself up and metal debris and shavings get into the oil system you could have big problems. This unit is direct fed and not self contained, correct?

Just like the guys that say.. Well if my engine goes then Ill just rebuild the bottom end with new pistons and rods so Its not that bad. Well, my engine went when I was Turbo'ed back in the day and took out the crank, both heads and left a window in the block so I needed an entire new Long block. Cost went way up.

Oil system of the Retrex is usually self contained with it's own heat exchanger.
