Im sure they do work for you, but they are not ideal. The 1300 and 1700 where from my understanding designed with stainless components to prevent the "rust" found on other units.
The all new ID1050x will replace the 1000 and all lower units and be designed around the 1300 and 1700 from what I gather. There has to be a reason for that, ID is to smart to just make random changes. If I am wrong and Paul says I am a moron, I will accept that.
