Recently bought a 2015 370z Sport Package, really excited!

I want to invest in modifications, but I am only interested in the ones that increase fuel efficiency.

Been doing some research and found some cool stuff! Cold air intakes, Stillen transmission cooler kit [my 370z is an automatic :-) my daily driver car], as well as other coolers kits.

Do these things increase fuel efficiency? Performance?

Thanks!

Sory to tell you but if you're looking for fuel efficiency, you bought the wrong car...

To realistically answer your question.. NO there isnt , best bet is to buy a daily and commute with that leaving the Z as a weekend toy

"Coolers" increase thermal load capacity in heavy-load condition such as track duty. Adding a transmission cooler for a car, nearly any recently-produced car, in a light duty condition even in a stop-and-go city traffic will not add "fuel efficiency". Same to be said with engine oil cooler. I also doubt that an open-element air cleaner would add "fuel efficiency"; several engine parameters need to be monitored and logged to determine a gain or loss.

I'd say save the money you're about to spend for mods and use it to pay for the fuel. If you insist on saving a few bucks, enroll in a few of the many fuel-reward programs out there. Welcome to the forum and enjoy the car.

I don't want to get flamed but i installed an Injen CAI on my Z and I went from 22 to 25 mph. Not sure if it would really be worth it if all you're looking for better mpg but I noticed it as I keep track everytime I pump gas miles vs gallons used not the computer display....

Makes 0 sense.

To you and the OP, exhaust mods are the only mods that theoretically increase MPG

I mean a less restrictive intake mod over stock would probably increase MPG right?

No, your car would immediately add more fuel too

A tune could add fuel efficiency, if you specifically tuned your car to improve your MPG.

Otherwise, a lighter exhaust could theoretically help (and any other mod to lighten your car), but that's about it.

After I added an aftermarket xhaust and intake my mpg actually goes down, the sound it makes is intoxicating making it tougher to stay off the throttle! Lol

Many performance modifications increase efficiency, which means increased MPG ... IF one doesn't have fun with the extra HP. As long as you are increasing efficiency and not just cramming more air/fuel into the engine (eg, super-charger), performance mods can increase MPG. But few people are going to make mods and not have some fun with them.

Most modern engines are not going to see big increases in efficiency/MPG with simple mods. The auto engineers are already doing a great job in order to meet smog and mileage regulations.

Why buy a Z if you are worried about MPG?
