:ugh2:

"They were" means that they are not going to be doing that on Wednesday, so when are they going to be cutting kits?

Elmo370z 12-12-2017 03:22 PM

sometime in the year 2087

wideglideleon 12-12-2017 04:05 PM

I thought they were going to do testing and install on test cars before going into production. Has this even happened yet??

bullitt5897 12-12-2017 06:11 PM

They are cutting the preproduction kits. 2 of them to be exact. Once testing is complete on those revisions the production units will be cut and ready. They stated they will do a pre-order once the pre production numbers are in.

bullitt5897 12-12-2017 06:11 PM

They are cutting the lower plenum first then the fuel rail stack and the adapter plates.

bullitt5897 12-12-2017 06:12 PM

Cutting on the lower plenum begin tomorrow (wed) as mentioned earlier.

daveb91 12-12-2017 06:57 PM

Any pics?

Taking pre-orders........... sounds fishy

No pics, a complete miss on every date given, and Bobbys prior fraud conviction and he wants people to give him money up front? Are we due for another gtm style meltdown?

We have always said that no money would be taken up front until the kits are finished with development and testing and ready to be produced.

Bullitt is simply relaying the information we have given him.

Everyone is aware of SAM and GTM's short comings and NO ONE wants to be associated or be in the same boat as him.

We will be putting together a Pre-order Group Buy. That will not be released until testing is done and we are ready to produce the production kits. Yes we have missed earlier dates. Why? because we have been putting our existing customers first and clearing out our backlog. What did this mean? We couldn't use our machines to cut the kits... We supply work for several industries with a CNC abilities. Some of those projects came through during this development and while we would love to keep on one project and see it to fruition in a short time. We also have to keep the doors open. We haven't taken a dime for the kits. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars to develop this kit and we are about to spend a lot more right before Christmas. So while you may be skeptical do to other failed businesses. We (RJM) have not done anything to warrant the accusations above.

As for Bobby's past his issue was related to taxes and not paying on time. He paid his employees first and he was made an example of because of it (Many years ago and not associated to RJM). Also, There are more people involved in this business venture other than Bobby. Everyone of them with a clean record and a history of running successful businesses.

There is no Ponzi scheme, there is no rob from peter to pay paul, and there is no shady business here.

Now I know this may have come across as direct and some may take it as harsh but we want to nip this kind of thing in the butt. We are very direct open and honest about our schedules and what we are working on. We constantly post videos and pictures on our facebook page that detail what is going on in the shop.

Bullitt is doing us all a favor by keeping you guys informed. He had an instrumental help in designing the kit and was not paid for it (His Choice). He wants to see this kit as much as you guys do and has a future project he is working on that will have this kit as well.

Please remain patient. We are starting the cutting of the lower manifolds tonight. This may take a few days as we are confirming the tool paths and we keep an eye on each operation to make sure everything is copasetic. By doing this we can confirm machining speeds and can estimate the overall machining cost time. This will help us finalize the overall costs. and get the price as low as possible on the production kits.

Thank you,

The RJM Team

Employing Bobby is cause enough to cast a shadow on the rest of the company. He's screwed many members here. Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas, dude.

Dude... did they dispute the issue with Bobby and his previous taxes? No... so why are you harping on it? They have always been open and honest in all the dealings I have had with them.

To be honest chuck what the F is up your a$$ that you have to try and derail this thread? If you don’t want to buy a kit then don’t... I wouldn’t even be associated with this if it was even remotely shady. Especially given how I and many others got F’d over by GTM...

Stop talking out your A$$ and stay on topic of the thread...

RJ MFG 12-13-2017 10:39 AM

Guys keep it civil.

Chuck we have been very open and honest. Please point out where we have been shady... I can guarantee you cannot. We haven't taken anyones money and ran. We have produced every product ordered and we have had positive customer service since we opened our doors.

:rofl2: Dude, you were publicly supporting GTM all the way to the end and giving people **** for calling them thieves and scammers. Only when it directly impacted you did you finally admit there were problems. Your unpaid position as RJM's mouthpiece does not add to their credibility.

Fair enough, there have been no public reports of any wrongdoing. But the employment of Bobby given his history speaks volumes. Even if he wasn't locked up for fraud, he's screwed many people here. You're going to always have to fight that association as long as there is one. I'll let it go at that.

bullitt5897 12-13-2017 10:56 AM

Chuck, I got several people their products and money refunded. So judge me all you want. I got people their money and product and I still lost tens of thousands. I don’t give a flying F what you think dude. I played mediator and didn’t know they were going under. In fact Sam died in the middle of mediating for people...

Again, your sitting on conjecture of Fraud with no evidence. We do not know of a single instance where Bobby or RJM has screwed over anyone here on this forum. We do know of a single person who blackmailed him here on this very forum and that person was to be served papers from our lawyers if he did not stop. He proceeded to do the same to another shop that was fixing his car.

At this point you have made baseless claims with no supporting evidence. We will leave it at that so that the thread can stay on topic. We continue with our statement there was no fraud and no wrong doing. In fact many of our customers come from doing business with Bobby in the past. I guess time will tell. We are here to stay and develop leading edge products.

That's great. You also posted quite a bit about how everything was going to be ok, give Sam a chance, he didn't mean for all of this to happen, be patient, etc. Let it go. Like you said, you don't care. It shouldn't effect you that someone(s) on the internet thinks that the reason you were publicly telling people to be patient was that you were hoping to get your own money back out and you knew there wasn't enough of it for you if others were paid.

RJM, sorry for the derail. Good luck.

raffenblackma 12-13-2017 11:50 AM

I don't understand are you going to buy this kit? You already over and over bring up the same ****, so it can't be just you trying to warn others about past dealings of someone making this kit. At this point your just being a whiny bitch just for the sake of being a whiny bitch.

Who are you? You felt so strongly about this you had to jump in with your fourth post this year? I already apologized to RJM for the derail, what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

MadSciSnails 12-13-2017 12:38 PM

I believe what he is trying to get at is that the people who are interested in watching this kit come together aren’t interested in the past dealings. These guys were cool enough to allow us peeks during development after asking about possible interest in the kit. There is no logical reasoning to question their ethics. No money has changed hands. So nobody cares. I did notice you failed to mention that you didn’t like the hood that doesn’t exist yet. As for me, I’m still patiently waiting the finished product so I can decide my build path.

 You didn't look very hard then. Cosmo wasn't the only one claiming Bobby defrauded him - just the loudest.

Not suggesting that RJM has anything to do with Bobby's past. But his presence at your company is a big red flag for many. You hired him, so you get to deal with any fallout from his past transgressions. It might not be fair to RJM, but that's life.

Put out a quality product and I bet you these concerns die a quick death. But without any real updates, this thread is starting to look unpleasantly familiar (i.e. GTM, AAM, etc...).

elperuano 12-14-2017 11:57 AM

If anything, hopefully people will do their research before purchasing anything. I think some members are just trying to inform the community as much as possible.

No one gave Gamma a free pass because they still employed Sam.

RJ MFG 12-14-2017 06:14 PM

For those looking for an update this was from last night. We started on the lower plenum then found out we had a slight offset off on the cut. i.e. we were cutting un-needed raw material. we are working on it again today and will be posting up more updates. Again no vaporware and we have been 100% up front and honest.

raffenblackma 12-15-2017 10:59 AM

I don't post a lot but I saw everything go down with GTM and all that went with that. But the way they are doing business is the complete opposite. I for one am excited af about this kit and cant wait to buy one. They have been very clear about everything.

bullitt5897 12-15-2017 09:31 PM

Update: should be finishing up operation 1 on the lower plenum tonight (topside). Also bobby’s Phone is taking a giant crap so he is getting a new one tomorrow. So no pics tonight unfortunately

bullitt5897 12-15-2017 09:33 PM

Operation 2 is the bottom half.

RJ MFG 12-16-2017 04:23 PM

Friday night Update:

Few more passes to go on the top side then we jump to the bottom side and finish the lower plenum.

[QUOTE=RJ MFG;3715441]Friday night Update:

Looking great. My concern with it (even though it's a first prototype) is the seats where the bolts or nuts will be sitting... Is there enough room for a standard 1/4 or 3/8 10mm socket to fit in there to get the proper amount of torque on the nut/bolt. I think Nissan's stock TQ with that plenum is around 16ft/lbs or something.

That is the injector ports. Injectors we will be supplying with the kit. Everything bolts from the inside. A lot of time and consideration went in to how to install this in the shortest amount of time and ease of serviceability. You can thank bullitt for that. He was like a bulldog on those features! Our estimate as of right now based on using our 3d printed units is a 4 hour install.

Well i definitely feel silly, I circled the wrong holes :rofl2: Thanks for the reassurance!

RJ MFG 12-19-2017 07:17 PM

UPDATE:

We are cutting the second unit tonight at a faster speed (closer to production speed). We are focusing on the first operation (top side). And should have it done no later than Friday. We hope to have both units completed by Friday and starting on the (FRS) Fuel Rail Stack. This stack should go fairly quickly as it is mainly 3 axis work and contains all our ports. We will post up pictures later this week.
