Wow, looks like they went all out on the transmission. That ain't going to be cheap. Guess speed never is, sigh.

Rusty 09-06-2017 09:39 PM

All this talk on automatics is boring. :shakes head: Wish someone would come out with a reasonable sequential gearbox for us manual guys. :driving:

I'd like to see a solid 500/500 whp/tq on 93'pump gas.

I think I replied to a similar comment about this already. If the SC does its job, you'll have to pick ONE of those numbers. A positive displacement SC is just going to increase TQ across the board on our already flat TQ curve.

500 ft-lbs @ 7500 RPM = 714 HP
500 HP @ 7500 RPM = 350 ft/lbs

If you really want both 500 ft-lbs and 500 hp (max), then TQ is going to need to nose dive starting at 5252 RPM from 500 ft-lbs down to 350 ft-lbs at 7500 RPM.

I'd say 400-420 ft-lbs across the rev range would be awesome. Plus, I think they wanted to limit it to 400 for the auto trans. Even 400 ft-lbs @ 7500 = 571 HP!

Don't mind the torque; as transmission will be built for it- weather it's TT or SC'd.
Already see numbers from Turbo Z's...but none on positive displacement Z's...only guesstimating by what the V8 SC engines are doing.

jchammond 09-07-2017 03:02 PM

I was merely pulling some round numbers out the air/ as the LS SC LT4 makes 650/650 at the flywheel & Ford is around 650/550 SC flywheel...as stock bore/stroke; we only have 225ci....so I didn't want to overly guesstimate the possible numbers,,,,as we've seen Turbo'd stock bottom ends go well over 700H, it's the 600+ wtq that stresses them.
No argument on power curve.

Senna-F1 09-07-2017 11:28 PM

RJM,

Do you plan to provide the Whipple air bypass system for this kit?

I have faith that it will be worth the wait in the end. I could have went for the record via a stage 3 or 4 fast intentions kit and would have been done by now but I didn't want to do the same thing as everyone else who's making big numbers on this platform. I think it's cool to be a test dummy for something that's potentially game changing. It worked out great for me the first time I did that with the full carbon Niko kit with fly1 motorsports. I knew I was taking a risk with the time table considering this has never been done before but as long as it's done right with quality parts I'll be completely happy with waiting. I'm just hoping at this point that the hurricane doesn't wipe my car and the shop off the map! Now that would be tragic

Looks similar to the do-luck hood:

I could be wrong but isn't the SC unit going to be off center a little bit? For some reason I thought it would be off to the side a little. Which wouldn't jive with these renderings

B&W_Evader 09-14-2017 09:41 AM

I don't think they've gotten that far on the design yet. :stirthepot: I saw something that they switched over to working on transmissions.

Under my breath. "f!@cking auto's"!!!!:shakes head:

bullitt5897 09-27-2017 02:36 PM

Some Good Photoshops in here. RJM is working on the Auto trans in Conjunction with the Supercharger kit.

bullitt5897 09-27-2017 02:38 PM

NoModsJK the Supercharger is centered in the hood. However the pulley is offset to the driverside.

Almost, at least they have the decency not to be looking for orders before it's done.

Good point

Subd. With BP kits stopping production supercharger kits are now on the menu.

Actually I feel the FI scene in general is not in a good state. This thread included, so don’t get your hopes up yet. At least BP *says* he was going to take 6 orders last month. It didn’t happen though.

Where'd you hear that Sasha was stopping production on his kits?

B&W_Evader 10-05-2017 08:49 AM

Another month and no progress... :horse: I don't think I should tell them who I am on line if I every buy anything from them.

MadSciSnails 10-05-2017 08:59 AM

I believe a lot of focus has been transferred to the new VR for the moment. That's only compounded by the fact that this car has been around long enough that the options for modification have begun to meet or beat the cost of the entire vehicle. That's not a bad thing from my point of view, however it has a huge impact on actual buyers budget.

I don't know where he got that but it's not true. See BP thread for more info.

"Come January I will have 30 kits ready to go...in the mean time i will be taking a few orders in the next couple of weeks." -BP

You hear that RJM? 30+ people might spend their money elsewhere soon. And there aren't a whole lot of people willing to spend ½ their cars value on something that adds no value. At least come here and give an update to the people who are interested and patiently waiting on your product.

Elmo370z 10-05-2017 07:34 PM

bullitt5897 10-06-2017 08:55 AM

Full disclosure: RJM is still working on the Project. No major updates yet but soon very soon. To be honest they have been trying to catch up from multiple projects for a few private label customers that had temporarily benched a lot of the RJM projects for multiple platforms including the supercharger kit. Now that those private label Projects are officially over they are gaining steam again and moving back to their own products.

They just finished several blocks for customer orders and are already working on GTR Conversions for existing orders. Once that Clears which should be days not weeks. they will be cutting a run of the supercharger kits. In addition to that they are working on the Q50 VR30 platform as well knowing that it is the next platform for the Z.

Stay patient guys I know the wait is tough... Shiit, I am finally getting the hood I talked about modding next week.

bullitt5897 10-06-2017 08:56 AM

And to be honest I havent been on here because I have been getting my car back up and running in my garage and they havent been on here because there were no updates to give. They have been keeping an eye on the forums though. Just nothing to update.

nomodsjk 10-11-2017 12:09 PM

Can't wait to see the hood..
