For a lot of us, its the cost of shipping the whole transmission, that really sucks. Finding a local transmission specialist, to do the work, is easier and least expensive than 5K + shipping from Level 10.

No offense intended but I'm having a hard time justifying the 5 K cost too.

we haven't asked about any upcoming product offerings from level10 yet. Our only thoughts are that they would be supplying aftermarket clutch packs with the build to justify the costs. However, that is unconfirmed at the moment. Instead of shipping of your trans you could do the following:

Fast intentions flex plate
Exedy clutch pack
Level10 valvebody
Level10 TQ converter
Transmission cooler

Have a local competent shop install it all. That is if shipping is an issue. Now if new gears need to be made we can handle that if it comes to it.

Anyone have a link to these clutch packs?

jchammond 01-11-2017 03:32 PM

Not holding you to anything RJ MFG,
Have you guy's calculated an estimated HP/TQ potential on 93 octane fuel?
And on a stock block vs. a built bottom end?
This is all pending our AT's & Stick Trannys are built to hold...including a free flowing exhaust & cai.
I plan to be at Zdayz this year & this kit is sounding more inviting daily!

Z1 sells them

91 octane is the highest I can get locally, and no e85. Thinking I'll likely need a methanol injection kit. Or race gas. But I can only imagine how expensive that would be, considering that 91 octane here is roughly about $4.50/gallon in US currency.

If I wasn't planning on getting rid of the TTz within the year and boosting a Z06, I would be all over this! Keep up the great work!

For those with 91oct we suggest getting our stage 1 kit. This will be a lower boost setup and a lower cost setup as well. The nice thing about how we are designing the kit is that you will have the ability to upgrade to the other packages without having to spend a fortune.

The above picture is not a final layout but to give you guys an idea of what we mean by modular. The kit will come with ID1000 injectors from the start. The injectors are the shortest ones ID makes. The intercooler cores are modular as we will be able to add and remove based on the level of the kit. this is great news for everyone as you don't have to pay for the biggest baddest intercooler until you are ready. Also the Throtle body adapters will be upgradeable to accept all current aftermarket 70mm throttle bodies.

Stay tuned for more updates...

p.s. the 7 cores pictured above is good for 1000whp!

What is the price for this kit?

Good afternoon everyone!

Well we have made a decision to move forward with atleast one platform and possibly a second.

We are big proponents of innovation and this brings us to the platform we want to pursue first.

The platform we are starting with will be the Positive Displacement Supercharger kit. We are currently in the measurement and initial design phases. The kit will be scale able and efficient. We have already started planning around the Whipple 2.9L (W175AX) unit. This supercharger has been known to easily push 500whp and up to 900+whp with corresponding mods and fuel.

As stated above we are working on measurements now and are working with Whipple directly in reference to their supercharger. We have a good bit of space constraints regarding the motor valley and hood. We are looking at all our options to make the most efficient, compact and powerful Supercharger kit developed for this platform.

We are aiming to debut the kit in person at Zdayz 2017!

As far as cost we are looking to be sub $10k retail. Also as far as hood modifications it is too early to tell. We do have a company car here at the shop that we will be doing all the mock up and designing on. Our basis will be around the Stock hood. Aftermarket hoods such as the VIS terminator hood offer better cooling and a larger dome area for the supercharger.

So stay tuned! More news to follow!

Staged pricing has not been determined yet. We are looking at ways to deliver a quality product with the best price per HP in the market. Again, pricing is expected to be sub $10k.

Looks like you will be replacing the lower plenum then. Too bad as that is an expensive casting to tool.

No parts will be cast on the kit. Everything is being CNC'd in 6061 Billet.

TopgunZ 01-12-2017 12:09 PM

Oh yeah i suppose the quantities cant warrant the tooling. Damn is that going to look good!! and shiney..
