Our intercooler package is going to be rated to over 1000whp. The design of the intercooler core is modular in that you can add or subtract cores. Currently the stage 2 kit is looking to run 7 cores. The stage 1 kits we are going to offer with a few cores less of the full capability in order to lower the entry level costs. However this leaves everyone an upgrade path just by ordering more cores, new pulleys, Throttle bodies and fuel system.

We are really taking the time to look at this kit from your perspective. We want to provide a very modular, reliable and scalable kit without breaking the bank. Everything we do toward the kit has efficiency, quality, reliability, cost and performance in mind. We want to hit all of these metrics when the unit comes out in may.

So it's a cut the center out of stock hood and place over design? Will it require a reprint of the hood?

we plan to offer a downloadable template that anyone can print out to make modifications to their hood. The add on piece will utilize the angled edges of the center of the hood for mounting points. Mounting will be done from underneath the hood. We hope to have a carbon fiber option and an FRP option. The level of fitment will be up to the end user. If you want to bond and repaint you can. If your want to sealer and rivet/fastener you can.

The render looks fantastic! I'm just worried about clean cut lines if it comes in from underneath, that means the cutting to install it will be visible from the outside? Cutting into the hood just makes me cringe lol but I guess a good shop could do it.

Is that cowl functional? Ie..will it bring air past the blower and out the rear? Hopefully so. Maybe add a slot in the front to allow for more air. I do like it though and would rock that for sure.

I'm sure it's very likely been thought of already, but if the hood has to be replaced, a design that allows as much cooling/heat extraction as possible would be very welcome.

Did he happen to mention if they are going to offer a clutch kit like Exedy does? If so, did they mention how much more torque it could handle?

For a lot of us, its the cost of shipping the whole transmission, that really sucks. Finding a local transmission specialist, to do the work, is easier and least expensive than 5K + shipping from Level 10.

No offense intended but I'm having a hard time justifying the 5 K cost too.

Same here, I looked into a manual swap. I got a pice list of everything you will need. I even threw in lightweight flywheel new clutch, the CSC fix kit from Z1 and triple pass MT radiator. All parts shipped to my house would cost $4,515. Now mind that you could do the work yourself that's the price for a transmission to handle the power of a boosted car.

Also I'm in the process of finding a a totaled MT sport package Z to see if it's cheaper.

Based on the initial rendering pics, are you trying to have the throttles in the OEM location?

That is correct. The idea is to give you guys the option to run your current cold air intake kits.

Slight update everyone:

As we work to make the system bullet proof we have come to the conclusion that the unit will not be able to fit under the stock hood. However, we have anticipated this and plan to partner with a vendor to offer two options.

Option 1: Full hood replacement (keeping under wraps for now)

Option 2: A hood cowl add on that will look great on any stock profile hood!

Here is a teaser of what we are working on. More details to come.

This rendering looks great. I'd do this hood modification even without the kit. I'm totally stoked about this kit and hope it works out. As for now I'm saving my nickels for it!!
