Champion mate! thanks so much!! I've already done the upgrade on my blower with vortech and the upgraded bearings etc.. so looking at the next step ;) already got the 9psi pulley from stillen originally as well. I'll order the other 2 and go from there.

Yeah. I have done extensive research on pulleys and with the help of quite a few members of this forum!

I will be glad to share the information!!
This is what I will be doing for optimal boost gains!

BUT AFTER...I get the A2A kit installed, Super Vortech Impeller Upgrade from 928 motorsports, and when my engine is finished being installed. Although I plan to swap out the 3.0 for a 2.85 possibly -- because I will have a much stronger engine :) But will need to do more research on that first.

No new belt required. The 3.47" pulley takes up the slack from going to the smaller 3.00" supercharger pulley.

Have Seb remote tune it.

TopgunZ 02-14-2018 07:51 AM

Yes. Look to sebs at SpecialtyZ. His remote tune will be better than any uprev dyno tune there.

To Poster,
If you do decide uprev, make the trip to GA and go to Jon at Z1.

I'm in Australia ;)

Build is still ongoing had issues with this level 2 limp mode crap, looking down to the flywheel, it was a prototype for a company here, they are sorting it out but this is taking a long time all up :O just wanna drive the thing!

I'm trying to do as much research as possible before I get to this installation, so I can avoid any potential errors, etc. I seem to be having difficulty linking videos on this forum, but I found one on YouTube that has me scratching my head. The title is, "Supercharged 370z e85 Ecutek Air to Air FMIC dyno run 460whp."

It seems like this guy has done everything right...A2A, CJM with return rails, tune by Seb, in ADDITION to e85. Why is he only making 460hp? What could he have done differently to bring it over 500 -- even to 550?

I don't plan on pushing the kit to obscene numbers, but I'm hoping to learn something here so I can at least avoid problems, and optimize my installation.

Thanks!

If you look in his video description he states that he is still running stock boost levels (stock impeller/pulleys).

I thought I was under the impression that 8-9psi would produce 500+, at the very least 480-ish? Maybe I misunderstood...

post link?

Ambient temperature, pressure, and type of dyno will have a pretty big effect on the numbers.

There's too many factors honestly. The dyno calibration/altitude/weather play big roles. He also doesn't state what % ethanol this run is at as well. Conservative tune?

Okay so let's take a look at this.
He has:
[x] CJM return rail system
[x] Tune by Seb
[x] E85
[x] A2A kit

He is still missing, as others have already said:
[ ] Triple pulley swap for faster spins on the blower head unit
[ ] Super Vortech Upgrade from 928 motorsports for both bearings and impeller
[ ] Exhaust system upgrades? Any headers? 3'' Downpipes?
[ ] Flex Plate Upgrade?

These things would help increase the power as well to the wheels :D
