BP turbo build/advice

Skipping the heat wrap is a bad call. It'll never be easier. It keeps everything around it from getting toasted. It's a hell of a lot more than a 5

Default BP turbo build/advice

Skipping the heat wrap is a bad call. It'll never be easier. It keeps everything around it from getting toasted. It's a hell of a lot more than a 5 degree reduction. Plus, keeping the heat inside the pipes helps velocity, which helps spool.

I'm not taking the headers off and if it gets oil/fuel doesn't it go up quick? I also have lightened fly wheel, carbon fiber drive shaft to and I went with the bb for the quicker spool. Does it make that much of a difference?

And for the clutch not sure yet I want O.S.Giken but I think they might be a little overpriced. I have my Southbend on there now and I am thinking about giving them a look.

You don't wrap the headers, wrap the crossover pipe and the downpipe. Wrapped or not, if you leak fuel on the turbo you've got a major problem. Plus, if you don't wrap, all of the plastic connectors anywhere near the hot stuff will get crispy and brittle. It's a mistake to skip the heat management.

Couldn't agree more, and now is the time to do it while everything is fresh and clean prior to install.

For clutch flywheel, Southbend, Specialty Z, and OS Giken should definitely be at the top of your lists paired with Motul or Redline fluids. Hit up Next Level Performance for all your clutch/flywheel upgrades.
