Is this where the jk comes in?:ugh2:

Cover that with marine grade shrink wrap. Infact I wouldn't use anything but outside the cab.

Hey guys small update, I got all my parts on! They were not able to put on the oil temp/pressure gauge on, i need a new bung and a place to tap for the pressure. I dropped her off at the tuner, and he wanted some more info from Sasha and to get a little more knowledge. I wanted to ask, what type of dynos are guys using? he has a mustang dyno and was worried that going over 440 Hp would blow up the engine what do you guys think?

YzGyz 04-15-2016 03:40 PM

So he is not familiar turning VQ?? Humm.... there isn't anyone else?

Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter (BSPT & NPT)

Boosted Performance 04-15-2016 06:58 PM

The kit comes with a BSP to NPT adapter. The T fitting on the OEM oil pressure sensor is NPT, so you can just get a regular NPT T fitting and run whatever sensor you like.

That stuff doesn't smoke. Sure the triangle flange is bolted down tight?

hc_416 04-15-2016 08:34 PM

Hey Sasha, what would be a good power lvl to go for on a mustang dnyo? my tuner doesnt really want to go over 440. What do you think, you have a list of my mods and would like your input, Also thanks for the responce on the oil pressure unit. If you want feel free to pm so we can talk more.

TheWeez 04-15-2016 08:41 PM

kind of smells like rubber/exhaust
its coming from around the header/starter

I stopped mine at 405 on a Mustang. That was 505whp equivalent on a dynojet

ok cool, so you think 440 would be too much? The tuner recommed not more than 440

I'd be more concerned with the torque level. If the mustang you are going to use is calibrated similar to the one I tuned on, I wouldn't feel comfortable over 350-375wtq.

Words of advise - torque kills engines, not horsepower

It looks like I will go for 350-375 tq and 400-425 tq with a flat tq curve and nice reliablity. Thanks for the help Jwick

hc_416 04-15-2016 10:48 PM

You know what sucks, i dynoed at 323 NA on his dyno. I got this kit and i will make only 415 ish... oh well i guess. Built motor I guess

You made 323 on a Mustang?

Edit - Guess I made 311 on the same
mustang and left after the boosted tune at 405whp/376wtq. Mustangs are odd. The same 405/376 made 503/464 when my tuner got a dynojet.

To be safe tell your tuner to keep the fuel tables correct for 9-11# of boost. That should put you in the 480-520 range.

Remember to ask the tuner to be mindful of torque. Pull some timing early to keep it down. A lot of us BP guys are running between 9-12#s comfortably. If the tune is good, it'll hold the power.

I'm close to that. .83 bar (12.5ish)

510whp/440wtq

hc_416 04-15-2016 11:57 PM

Yea but my brother made 505 on the same dyno.... so im far behind lol but he has a full built car with a stillen super charger

YzGyz 04-16-2016 12:03 AM

Yeah, I was there for your return. Our tuner is the BOSS of everything VQ/HR. That why I have blasted down the track over 100x with no worries. I think I might have to try and concentrate on what I'm doing so I can get better times as apposed to just having fun mashing the pedal and giggling..

I have to go back to stock height. The cross pipe is 1 inch off the ground. Anyone lowered with the BP kit?

I still have my Nismo Springs if you need. You just have to meet me halfway to pick them up.

TheWeez 04-16-2016 03:29 PM

They are adjustable. Thanks though.

Take a pic and email it to me. I'v had a couple of customers on the last round needing some guidance on how to get things tucked up nice and high.

TheWeez 04-16-2016 09:36 PM
