I still need to pick a tuner but since im going 1150cc, E85 and ecutek I wont be able to drive my car after install. Unless I can leave charge pipes off of intercoolers and the car will run on 93 with 1150cc and babying?

I'm at 695 miles on my SB stage 3 but still babying it. They changed my RJM pedal setup on the install so I have to reset it still. If there are any parts you need prior let me know because I may because I may be able to get them cheap through the shop and you can pick up when you come.

I will run E85 full time and I will eventually start working on a spare built short block so better to have injectors now and roll that money into whats needed later.

With that being said, will I be able to run with the factory tune and 1150cc on 93 octane with the charge pipes off? This would be to get from my garage to the tuner.

My clutch install is pushed back as I couldn't find fluids locally and had to order from zspeed. I guess thats next weekend. Keep me updated on your kit.

Make sure you explain the nature of the RJM clutch before the install if you have one. If you dont, you're gonna set it up again on your own and they're gonna have the worst time ever trying to bleed it.

Even for E85 and a future block I think 1150s are overkill. Guys are making into the 700whp with 1000s.

I could be wrong but I don't think the car will even idle with 1150s and the stock map. You tripled the injector size so it's going to triple the fuel its dumping.

Yea my idle is rough with the 3" pipes and 750s already

Best thing I did for my idle was completely remove the O2 sensors.

I plan to push for 800 HP TQ on E85 in the future on the block so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't at the top of the duty cycle on injectors.

If nothing else I will do install and everything but injectors and charge pipes and run in garage to check for leaks, etc.

Guess ill be towing to tuner.

I hope you have a really good tuner. You are likely to have issues running 1150s on stock block.

TopgunZ 05-07-2016 10:59 PM

What are the issues? I maxed my 1000s out with both kits. My first being stock block. Might even still have that stock block if I went with 1150s.

Hey guys, for everyone that's done oil temp and oil pressure gauges , is there any adapter I need to get both gauge sensors connected outside of what's provided in the kit? I want to make sure I have those on hand so I don't have to hit the brakes waiting on parts to arrive. I'm running Oil Press, Oil Temp and Wideband in the stock pod and I actually have the gauges drop in ready minus the wiring harnesses. I had bought a salvage cluster on ebay and took that apart to set the gauges up so I just pop the oems out ( actuall break them up )and drop the new ones in.

You will need an additional Tee to take oil pressure from the factory location. It'll just be one more fitting added to where the turbo oil takeoff is for the kit. Sasha supplied that for me for a minor adder in cost.

Oil temperature is a little more difficult. You need a location to take it from. I'm currently teed off right before it enters the oil cooler. I had to buy a bunch of AN fittings and some brass plumbing fittings from Home Depot to make it work. Next time I pull the bumper I'm relocating that probe to my Phunk baffled oil pan.

Im moving on to preparing for gauges.

Since im going to run ecutek and need the stock oil temp gauge can it be rewired or extended down into the nav cubby? If it can I will probably junk the volt and time gauges up top and put three new gauges in there ( real oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure)

I think im going to run the AEM 30-4900 AFR in the A pillar along with a turbosmart Eboost2.

On a side not I am running E85 but wouldn't need a gauge since it seems I can hijack the stock oil temp to display ethanol content on the fly?

Open to any suggestions, changes or new gauges.

Thanks guys,
