I think I am going to go with the SCG-1 to control boost and also for the built in AFR fail safe. What other gauges do you guys recommend and models? I need (want) ethanol content, fuel pressure, oil pressure/temp.

Is there any way to have a gauge confirm scavenge pump operation/failure? It does not carry pressure on either side?

I run Boost/Oil&Water Temp/Oil&Fuel Temp and AFR. Just two gauges. Innovate and Greddy Multi.

For the pump maybe wire in a light or hour counter to know it was running?

Would I be able to drive with the base tune about 5 hours away to get it tuned with the base tune? I live in Las Vegas, and specialty Z is 5 hours away.

As long as you keep it out of boost, you should be ok.

Extended the bracket hole one full hole to the right and she fits now

I routed my oil cooler lines the other way going by the exa pump. I may have to look at this way. Maybe a little cleaner?

I figure it would get in the way of intercooler piping

Edit to my above statement. I do remember trying that way first I didn't like the idea of the lines in between the intercooler and radiator. I went the Other way and securely tied them behind and below radiator. They did not interfere with ic piping. Looking good....:)

Yeah. I zip tied mine to the plastic cover on the back of the radiator fans.

Shouldn't be an issue. I drove over 8 hours on the original base tune without problem.

Sweet. I've searched for a good tuner here in Vegas but haven't found anybody I'd trust. I've heard good things about Specialty Z and would like to go with them for the initial tuning

At freeway speeds I'll be into boost. My tuner is a couple hours away. Still be OK?

A pound or two isn't going to cause any issues. Just don't WOT.

Oh and at freeway speeds I'm not in boost, it flutters right around zero or a slight vacuum.

The scavenge pump...honestly should be the least of your worries. Things are bulletproof.

After speaking with Jason, I've considered the SCG-1 as well with multi functions.

After doing some digging, your A/F is your #1 priority that you want in a visable place for "on the go", ethanol content really being lower more for when you swap tunes and randomly want to know how quality the fuel was you added.

I'll be running Jason's(Galeforce) his center pod with mounted Ethenol content gauge and boost controller, and running his single pod with A/F ratio.

I would also recommend if not running a fuel pressure gauge to add Phunk's under your hood.

Sebastian is one of, if not the top tuner in the US for these cars. If you're within 5 hours, get the car to him! Many of these guys have had Seb fly in and do a group tuning session.

I have an electronic afr Guage that display both # and had a sweeping led. I recommend this type as you just need to do a quick peripheral glance and see that the afr is in the right zone. My Guage show green>orange >yellow >red. All you need to see is the right color led lit and you know you're AFR is ok. The ## is nice as it shows exact numbers but they jump up and down like mad! They are decimal not the easiest thing to read when your flying down the road or racing.
