turbos are not magic. i have a decent sized turbo on my 700cc UTV that spools great to 15 lbs (aftermarket).
all you need to make a twin set up work, is two properly sized turbos. are you going to run twin 35r's? no, but there are plenty of turbos out there up to the task. trouble is, what are you gaining? simplicity of have one turbo per MAF? i strongly feel that that is much easier to deal with the intake rather than TWO oil supplies and returns to worry about failing. sized properly, i doubt on this application you would see much difference in lag, either.
