Agreed, nothing wrong with STS systems. There is just this weird stereotype with the systems since STS has monopolized the market for rear turbo's and people trying to do it

Agreed, nothing wrong with STS systems. There is just this weird stereotype with the systems since STS has monopolized the market for rear turbo's and people trying to do it themselves with random turbo's typically give less then great results.
Despite the LOL above I still believe rear mounts are different and large displacement engines are required to spool two turbos properly regardless of the turbo type. Not saying it wouldn't work but I don't think the extra cost would be worth the benefit for the small gains with our engine. The fact that the STS system for 350' isn't even offered in a twin setup pretty much tells me that this is true. Probably has largely to do with heat from the exhaust I would imagine. Hell maybe im wrong. only way to know for sure is to call STS, but oh wait that's right! They don't' communicate with there potential customers--lame. |
