I look forward to seeing that. Topgunz car didn't run out of MAF, why would mine?

I was only at 4.2 volts. I think they are in backwards in the pic I posted. That was before I realised they were wrong. The slot opening in the bottom of the maf where you see the sensor needs to face the front of the car.

Basically, if they didn't modify the maf, they can't be in that y pipe the right way. Moding the maf mounting tabs took me about 2 minutes each with a dremmel.

Thank you, I thought that might be the case.

They did open them up and had them in correct so there is something else wrong.

Did you extend the mafs again? Did they reach from the extensions stillen supplied?

I run gtr plugs. Its not those.

JWillis72 12-07-2015 07:07 PM

They were going to work on them this afternoon but I haven't talked to them so probably not. It will get done if I have to go do it myself.

Even a small vac leak wouldn't cause it to act that way.

The shop did also say they plugged the bov so it would stay closed. Not sure what that was all about.

TopgunZ 12-07-2015 07:08 PM

My worry is a badly or wrongly wired maf wire.

JWillis72 12-07-2015 07:08 PM

He told me that also, I don't know what that was about either.

I may order a new set of MAF extenders tomorrow from Stillen and just start over.

MAF direction should be oriented so the locking clip is on the left. Both of mine are that way.

Not a bad idea. I don't like how they spliced yours.

That's what I was thinking, I just emailed Mark to see if he could overnight me a pair, I will see what he says tomorrow.

As I have mentioned in the past, I too had a bad MAF jumper cable that was not reading consistent. Once replaced we stopped experiencing the limp mode. The jumper /extension MAF cables provided by stillen seem to be very sensitive and prone to bending, just be careful with them when installing.
