Probably like a 5" tube, to mount the mafs in. But I'm not even sure.

5" tube would be a ton more area than us turbo guys are getting with dual 3". Guess it all comes down to how much air you need to move. |
The shop that works on my car does lots of GTRs and are telling me they go to speed density with them a lot. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...42c2e93eff.jpg

This is what sebz suggested ^
Speed density. |

We are going to talk to the tuner tomorrow about it. He tunes all their GTRs and the place usually looks like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Speed density is not hard to do, it would cost about 60$, buy a 3bar map sensor.
its actually really easy to do. You have use the MAF signal wire on the mafs, splice that into your MAP sensor, then map sensor to 5v source, and map grounded on body. |

We need to find a 5v source, or we could use a 5v regulator.

I will for sure let you know what he says.

It's a bummer you ran out of MAF but the number give me a good feeling about this set up once we get over the hurtle. Your car is making 10whp less and 29tq more than my car at full speed and 8lb, that's a great start!

WoW man sux'd about the Mafs , something is missed readi this also, sorry :( I swapped mine cause I knew I was going to run out at 450 ish WHP. I thought you had UPREVs so didn't mention it. But it looks like those wouldn't have mattered either :/. The the numbers are there you should be able to get to 500WHP if you can get it ironed out!! Great work man and looking for you to crack that 500!

I fabbed up a Frankenstein intake today. Im not thrilled about the maf placement but we will see how she goes.

Pics? The more I though about this I think this was the reason I said we'd need a dual intake pipe like the GTM kit, I think the BIG single split to 2 for the MAF's just has way to much air flow :/
|
Mine has it split from a 3" to 2.75" pipes. Then the mafs are right there in each pipe after the split about 4" up. That's what I don't like. But yes, they are in their own pipe each.
And by fabbed I mean I used the stillen intake Y off the kit. This is the best I could do in trying to get this done by Wednesday. So if you look at that pipe you will see how close my mafs will be by the split and the 45* bends. I have a honecomb air straightener right before the "in" on that pipe. I hope this is enough to keep the fluctuations at bay from not having 4" to 6" of straight pipe before the mafs. Thoughts on this? |
