Can anyone tell me why these upgrades were needed as well? Are these necessary/recommended for the kit to run well? Or are they a bit over overkill to be safe

Can anyone tell me why these upgrades were needed as well? Are these necessary/recommended for the kit to run well? Or are they a bit over overkill to be safe and cover your bases in case you want to push it further in the future?
