Injector calculator - assume 600 whp is approximately 715 - 720 at the crank.

http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx

You need to know how much fuel pressure the new pump can maintain.

320LPH DW, and 800CC DW injectors. We have more than enough fuel for 8psi on twin td06-20g turbos.

Thanks,

swing for 725cc Injector DYnamics... much better injector. Then go for CJM twin pump setup.

Does anyone have fuel pressure data for either of those pumps? I know it will vary with boost, but any idea on what it hovers around?

What about stock? Does the stock pump have a built in regulator, and if so, is that reused with aftermarket pumps?

EDIT: Okay, can't find solid answer on the psi, but looks like typical internal regulator, so psi will drop as boost increases. If stock is 43 psi, the walbro 255 (rated up to 60 psi) may be strong enough to hold 43 psi, in which case you can select injectors based on that.

So other options include a different regulator (looks like an old method was to drill out the stock regulator -- although I wonder if it will run rich at idle?) or use an adjustable regulator that rises fuel pressure with boost pressure.

I'm surprised there isn't more info on stock vs aftermarket pump fuel pressure at various boost levels on here? Anyone have this info?

I have the Aeromotive 340lbs/hr unit and ID1000 injectors. If you are shooting for 600WHP, the issue will be running out of MAF resolution. I won't even speak on the bottom end.

^ that seems overkill for 600hp. I'm stage 2 Gtm TT kit and the injectors which are the 600cc deathschwerks r workin just fine. I'm at 540hp.

I went with those items to eliminate the need to change them if I decided to get a little crazy in the future. I would rather go larger and not need it than the other way around.

Not to bring up a dead topic, but why do you feel the Injector Dynamics would be a better injector? DW injectors have never given us a problem and they just updated and revised all their latency data to reflect more real world conditions to make them even easier to tune. Injector dynamics is a great company but the 725cc wont be enough without increasing fuel pressure. He would realistically want a 950cc or 1000cc for a 85% duty cycle with 700HP at the crank for a boosted application. DW recently came out with their 1000cc and 2200cc which seems like the perfect fit for his set-up!

Edit: Power is also relative to the dyno used. Inertia style dynos (I.E. DynoJet) will read 10%-12% higher than what I am accustom to. I base all my math off of what we see on a loaded style dyno (I.E. Mustang, Dyno Dynamics, DynoCom FX series).

Thanks,
Alex Goodwin

Is that with OEM fuel regulator (and therefore approximate OEM pressure) or something custom?

BTW: Assuming about 715-720 to the crank, BSFC of .6, and 43.5 psi, those injectors are going to fall short (or creep up to ~84% duty cycle).

1000 cc's would be safer, but you can get away with 900.

I think Sam told me they were Bosch 900cc injectors
They even have the 900 on the side of the injector
As for going turbo I am secretly preparing just don't tell my wife

Anmvq sent me his cog setup and I going to have my tuner order uprev maf
Just to see if I can get to 14-15 psi before I go turbo In the summer

Sounds like a good plan going turbo I think you will see that much PSI with the cog's just be careful. The Stillen kit seems to be claiming more motors than turbo car's, I have heard of 4 this year alone.
