Default 370Z side blinker mod, made it into a parking light!

Just got my 2011 Z about 5 months ago. Couldn't understand why Nissan didn't want those beautiful Z side markers to light up when the lights are on.

After 3 months of communication barriers with China, I finally bought some OEM connectors for a wiring harness to make the fender blinkers parking lights.

Of course I had to buy a minimum order so I am curious to see how much interest is out there for this mod. If I get enough interest, I will start making these harnesses.

This is a 100% plug and play harness. If you sell the car or just don't want them to stay on anymore (go back to blinkers), you can take them out and no one will ever know they were modified. No wire cutting!

Here are some vids:

Thanks!

How difficult are the harnesses to install? I haven't taken the side marker lights off before, but this definitely looks cool. What would you be looking for price-wise for the harnesses?

By the way, the first video doesn't work - it looks like you provided an 'editing' link instead of the public URL.

Why couldn't you keep the blinking function and when not in use it would just stay on? Seems like a better solution as it lets people beside you know your signal is on.

First off Welcome!

I would like to ask that IF there is enough interest and you move forward?

You will need to contact the site owner/AK370Z to become a vendor or pay a fee per unit sold.

He is very reasonable so there is NO need to be sketchy here.

Im going to move this to the correct section.

Having some problems with my Youtube right now.

Jack up car (use jack stands)
take wheel off
take off inner fender well covers (3 screws, 1 -10mm bolt, 14 push pins)
find and unplug parking light plug on the back of the headlight
plug in harness (can't plug in the wrong way)
take out the side marker (easy, push towards back of car and wiggle out)
unplug side marker
Plug harness into side marker and replace by pushing it in.
wire tie harness to another harness in the fender well
assemble inner fender well covers
put wheel back on
take car off of jacks
DONE

tools needed:
jack
jack stand
lug nut wrench
#2 phillips screwdriver
small flat head screwdriver
10mm socket

Cost:
This mod will include:
wire ties
2 harnesses (left and right)

everything is plug in, no cutting.

$150.00 shipped to the lower 48, all other areas will be $150 + actual shipping costs

No problem, just don't want to waste my time until I know there will be a market for it.

You can see the front and back blinkers from the side, it just doesn't need to blink.

That would involve cutting wires and that is why I can offer the harnesses .
When you go to sell, no one wants a car with wires cut and taped together all over.

Thanks, so did I.
If enough people want these, I will be making an installation video for instructions.

My preference would've been to make it dual led hi and low

Low for the parking function and high for the blinker.
