I called it when the new Nismo pictures first came out. Suspected there was going to be a gap.

cooltoy 11-06-2014 04:40 PM

That would drive me crazy (OCD).

Same feeling. Good thing I don't like the rear bumper on this nismo either. The lower part of the front bumper reminds me of an aventador I like. :p

Will a new Nismo front bumper fit on a 2009 370z base model?

So..... Anybody got one with the DRLs yet?

scorp38 11-15-2014 05:43 PM

Hey will the new nismo bumper fit on a 91' civic hatch? It's got v-tec if that helps. Also I know a guy that puts sic body kits one cars. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...31f7717bf9.jpg

Like the DRL holes will just be filled in or are you guys coming up with an alternative to the OEM $600+/ea DRLs?

KaienZ34 11-16-2014 07:24 AM

I know they are looking into a cheaper alternative over the stock DRL's.

With CS DRLs and without option planned something better wait to see along with nice cf add ons

KaienZ34 11-17-2014 11:36 AM

First one I've seen with wheels and drop.

Is your kit a add on or a complete rep kit with options?

KaienZ34 11-18-2014 06:16 AM

They won't be making a full bumper, because shipping is crazy. Just a nice lip and hopefully the DRL thing worked out.

OldBonesMcGee 11-26-2014 07:57 AM

Can anyone measure the size of the DRL hole.

There are quite similar in shape, and they are by Hella so they will be very high quality.

Here's another photoshop of what it might look like without the LEDs and with some mesh in their place.

I like the red stripes on the front inserts. Maybe I should try it and see how it looks on a white car.

Just got the bumper back from paint. Shaved the nismo badge holes.

Also got the inserts back. Wrapped by Imperial Works in Sacramento.

KaienZ34 11-29-2014 12:48 PM

What all did you get for the conversion, just the bumper and inserts?

KaienZ34 11-29-2014 12:50 PM

Just turned the pic a bit.

Bumper, long inserts, side inserts and fender plastic add-on.

OldBonesMcGee 12-01-2014 05:13 AM

Does the fender plastic add-on mean you don't need new fender liners?

OldBonesMcGee 12-01-2014 05:32 AM

I also wondered if someone could confirm 100% whether the centre section is just left unpainted or if this is supposed to be painted. In some pictures it looks like the finish is good enough just to leave and it others not so much.

Cheers

I wouldn't have gone that far but I do think that the Nismo is too performance orientated for the "slammed on dished wheels" look.

That one is definitely not to my taste.

KaienZ34 12-01-2014 12:35 PM

Someone's real nismo yes, just with work wheels and lowered.

Yes, according to Juan. Apparently the bumper is slightly wider then stock so the add-ons fill that gap.

I tried to find the paint code to the center part but no one seemed to have it. The bumper unpainted doesn't look good enough to be left alone when you see it in person. I was comparing it to the center of my stock bumper and it didn't look good.

Thats what I was thinking, was that from the look of it, it's going to need painted, now the question is....matt black, satin black, dark grey trim paint?!? haha

If anyone does come across the paint code I'm sure we would all find it useful, and I will try to find out from my dealer too.

Cheers,

Dan

So does a real Nismo come with fender liners the same as a stock 370z but with the extenders?

Maybe if anyone has connections at Nissan they could check if the fender liner part number is the same for both Nismo and Stock?

Not sure if it comes with the extenders or not. We could ask someone in the nismo section if they can take a picture of the front inner tire wells. The extenders only cost like $50.

Doesn't look like one, the fender flares are missing and the mirrors are different, they don't have the red stripe. It's looks more like a 2015 conversion kit, I don't know, something just looks off to me and the wheels look horrible on this car.
