black 2015 nismo for sale.

50K out the door, erm. I'll stick with my base.

lesper4 09-29-2014 09:04 AM

Martin, what is the deal with the bumper?

martin82 09-29-2014 01:14 PM

I have to get ready for a competition so im out of the loop Andrew was handling it for me. As of right now I can't even think about this my car has way too much stuff to get done.

aszyd 09-29-2014 01:20 PM

Since I have to take my car in for repair (thanks lifted Dodge truck) I am going to ask about having them paint my front bumper while it is in their possession. I'm also going to ask about getting a 2015 rear bumper, instead of just replacing my 2013. I doubt they'll go for it, but you never know.

lesper4 09-29-2014 01:55 PM

Sure they will, at least you can get the money for OEM parts and you can use it towards the aftermarket stuff.

Yup, we'll see how this shakes out insurance wise, but the collision manager had no issues with me requesting a 2015 rear end. We also spoke about painting the front bumper and shaving the emblems. So I will probably have this taken care of in a week or two.

J's370Z 09-29-2014 07:02 PM

COSMO 09-29-2014 08:04 PM

Hey thanks for the pic but would love to see one with the entire front bumper shown..

RyanWest 09-30-2014 04:15 PM

So we can agree that It will fit with no issues?

lesper4 09-30-2014 06:41 PM

I think the ones with the bumpers are still waiting for the additional fender pieces to be delivered to know for sure.

Yes. That's what I am waiting to see. That and what the total cost for the complete front bumper kit is.

aszyd 10-01-2014 02:39 PM

I was told by the dealer doing my repair that the rear bumper also has "brackets and things," so more extras, yay!

I think that white '15 Nismo looks like crap from the side.

The fender arches don't really match up and extend to the side skirts. You can visibly see where they end from the side profile.

I'd expect that kind of fit and finish from GM or Ford :P

cooltoy 10-01-2014 04:11 PM

Pretty sure that was by design.

Yep, they are pretty much the same length front and rear on purpose. So they start and end in the same location on the car. It looks like Nissan just copied the JNext/Jline fender trim pieces.

ufoz8mycow 10-01-2014 05:12 PM

Doesn't that have something to do with some kind of law in Japan where the wheels can't stick out past the fender?

So is this confirmed that you must acquire the newer inner fender liners to make this swap complete?

lesper4 10-07-2014 03:10 PM

Martin I know you are busy but did you friend ever get in contact with my firend....is the DRL thing a bust?

lesper4 10-09-2014 05:59 PM

Has anyone else bought the bumper and getting ready to install?

martin82 10-09-2014 06:30 PM

lesper contact Andrew again I am busy setting up now for Super Lap battle and destroyed my stillen bumper, I would assume painting will start next week.

I am sending the front red pieces to get molded next week, should have some pics shortly after that for the CF pieces.

Nick M 10-10-2014 10:30 AM

Any thoughts/rumors/ideas on someone like Shine making a replica? That fits with existing fender liners?

Their Amuse copies seem to be of decent quality?

Thoughts?

martin82 10-10-2014 10:38 AM

With the bumpers being so cheap doubt any will make it. No one mentioned but each sideskirts is $$$$$$$

lesper4 10-10-2014 10:38 AM

I think the price is already reasonable? The only thing that is not are the DRL.

aszyd 10-10-2014 11:14 AM

I would rather buy new liners than go with a non-oem bumper. This thing snaps right into place, no fancy body work necessary to get everything to line up.

I'm still waiting on the call from the body shop. I suspect it is taking quite a while to get that rear bumper.

Well the DRL is a part of the overall package, no? The bumper skin itself isnt the end of the world.

That was my initial point. The DRL makes the overall cost too much for me. I dont care to have or need the DRL on my '09. Its burning $ for the sake of burning $.

If there was a bumper with no DRL, but otherwise identical, I would be all over it.

martin82 10-10-2014 03:37 PM

just have your body shop fill it up np

ufoz8mycow 10-23-2014 09:55 PM

Anybody got one of these with the leds installed as well yet?

370z209 11-03-2014 06:43 PM

Anyone have the paint code for the blackish painted area?

martin82 11-03-2014 07:51 PM

rear bumper is installed, the bumper bracket is exactly the same, no need to upgrade, the mud guards are bit off but not worth bothering, you can tuck them in pretty good.

Front bumper we had an issue, so wont have it for a while. Front red pieces will be dropped off to make a mold.

Yes the front red pieces come like that. CF is already in the works

Martin the DRY LED is water under the bridge. SO what is the story with the carbon fiber inserts?

Has anyone else done this conversion?

martin82 11-06-2014 12:30 PM

After Super Lap Battle on Nov 14th, I will be free to get more going, we are currently 3d scanning the older nismo model, fenders etc for some new designs, eventually we will have the new front bumper 3d scanned as well.
We are probably looking at about 2 weeks until the mold is ready for the CF inserts, now the question is do we just want to go ahead and extend them an extra .5 or 1" or so or only replacement. It's either one or the other as it would need 2 molds if not $$

martin82 11-06-2014 12:38 PM

Btw here is the hatch gap vs rear bumper http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...e0f4b5393f.jpg

What kind of issue did you have with the front bumper?

martin82 11-06-2014 01:55 PM

someone dropped it on concrete after painting LOL, so waiting for body guy to come back from out of town to repaint.....

I am going to try and install it with damage will see.

DIGItonium 11-06-2014 02:10 PM

Ah... that gap. So that NISMO spoiler extends down to the edge of the trunk lid just to fill this gap, eh? Good to know.

martin82 11-06-2014 02:13 PM

yeah, unless you are that close, I'd say 99% of ppl wont notice, I bought the rear bumper to cut, in a few weeks it will be cut to air out
