Talk to Z1motorsports! They have the best prices so far for this conversion!

LMBmikeZ 11-03-2015 12:43 PM

Nope! That's hydro graphics/hydro dip/water transfer paint, I have heard it called all 3 things same thing different wording lol :yum:

basically painted and then clear coated :tiphat:

Side note: this winter I will getting a front splitter/skid plate to show a little bit of CF out the front like many other Nismos already have

cooltoy 11-03-2015 01:55 PM

Looks good.

LMBmikeZ 11-03-2015 02:07 PM

:tiphat: Thanks, I have seen lots of other cars with it done and thought why not I love CF but didn't want to change to much from the Nismo look. Keeps it clean and doesn't bulge or gap in anyway like some wrapped pieces will. I have also seen it on engine covers so I assume it can take "some" heat…….I already have future plans for other parts on the car.

DIGItonium 11-03-2015 03:16 PM

Dude those hydrographics turned out great! It looks better than the wrap especially with the clear coat. I literally had to stare at the pics for awhile to decipher it ahhaha.

edliaszenik 11-03-2015 04:52 PM

DAMN IT! You stole my idea! I planned on doing it with vvivid vinyls' 4d Carbon wrap. Very realistic Carbon and very easy to work with. Much better look than the dinoc looking stuff. Way to go on a clean looking Nismo.

After shipping, the front bumper would cost $612.42 if I ordered from Z1. That's $232.42 more than what it would cost to just buy it from my local dealer. Z1 is a great place for a lot of stuff, but they charge more than the dealerships on OEM parts.

Thanks! I trying to find the right hydro film/paint sheet to keep it looking as close as possible to my seibon carbon on the wing and hood (hood is still a work in progress long story)

haha I have been stewing on the - CF lip all around - idea since I first saw the new Nismo kit, just not a big fan of the '15+ Nismo front. IMO it makes it look too much like the GTR's little brother so to speak…..but I still loved the old nismo front  I also still love the old Nismo wheels.

however again IMO the hydro graphics are going to look a lot cleaner then vinyl wraps. when you touch mine it is clear coated along with the paint so it is literally seamless you can not feel any difference or transition just smooth!

Not sure if been posted already but evo-r put their LEDs up.
EVO-R INC. Nissan 370Z Z34 2015 Up Nismo DRL LED Bumper Lights

On sale till end of year for $250 shipped after that they go to $338 shipped. Thinking I'll order mine early Dec.

Sorry if repost.

I know it's probably been answered on this thread but too many pages. I also ordered my rear bumper but will we need anything else for the rear conversion?

LMBmikeZ 11-29-2015 10:04 PM

Rear wheel liners will be best :tiphat:

Deez_Z 12-01-2015 03:21 PM

Just ordered all of my front bumper conversion parts from courtesy parts..Quick question...

I do not want the red insert pieces (I want them black or maybe even color matched in monterey blue). Do I need to order those pieces and paint them black, or can I just not order them?

You need them and will have to paint them.

TN.Z 12-01-2015 06:42 PM

You will need the pieces you can paint them whatever color but without them there will be a blank space that will not look good at all. I suppose you could try to have a shop fill it in but that seems like more trouble than it's worth. If you check out carbon signals build thread for their 15 Nismo lip kit you can see what the bumper looks like without the inserts while they were making their lip kit.

Deez_Z 12-01-2015 08:06 PM

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the inserts. Now just need to get some quotes on how much it's going to cost to get the front bumper painted

DeliriousClam 12-04-2015 12:46 AM

I got to find somewhere to buy the front bumper. Local dealership quoted me $530 which sucks a bit but having it shipped from anywhere costs like $200

Shoot us an e-mail with your address and lets see what shipping to you is. Maybe we can help on shipping cost. A business address is normally a much cheaper route.

Hatsuongmai 12-10-2015 12:26 PM

For those who did the front conversion and did not get the OEM DRL or the EVO-R DRL, what did you do with the empty space? Just left it blank?

cooltoy 12-10-2015 01:19 PM

Yes.

There was talk about someone making a blank insert, but I am not sure if that ever happened.

Hatsuongmai 12-10-2015 04:40 PM

Cool...I wish someone make a blank insert for this. It should be cheap to make.

cooltoy 12-10-2015 07:40 PM

It is discussed somewhere in this thread.

I definitely will but I'll let you know now I'm not planning on buying it until spring

Deez_Z 12-10-2015 07:46 PM

2015 Nismo Bumper on 2009 Sport possible?

I've read this whole thread a couple of times and I didn't see any blank insert talk mentioned. I've heard a lot of talk about putting mesh in those spots, which is probably what I'm going to do if I don't get the EvoR DRLs

cooltoy 12-10-2015 08:42 PM

I guess they were talking about making the red pieces in CF and taking the mold of those.

Another option maybe is to have the body shop fill the holes in.

DeliriousClam 12-10-2015 09:32 PM

I might try fiberglassing them shut when I do my bumper

///maestro 01-12-2016 11:05 AM

Bumping this back into life :happydance:

Adamnthe_z 01-13-2016 03:14 PM

I just dropped off my Z for this conversion. I can't wait to be able to post some pics! :happydance:

Any update? I just sold my Amuse front and ordered my nismo front yesterday :happydance:

DeliriousClam 01-17-2016 10:23 PM

Quick question if anyone can answer. I know you can't use the older Nismo bumpers along with a license plate relocation kit. That still true for this bumper?

No updates yet. The shop said they should have it all done by end of week or possibly beginning of next week. Im having them color match the red accent pieces and fill in the badge holes as well.

You can order the moweraxle kit, that's what I plan on doing.

cooltoy 01-21-2016 12:00 AM

Some inspiration.

Looks so good. My bumper just came in today. I'm looking to get the car wrapped this spring so I'll have to wait a month or two to put the bumper on

DeliriousClam 01-21-2016 08:25 AM

I ordered a hydrodip kit to play with the red accents
