LMBmikeZ 10-15-2015 09:19 AM

Call Z1 Ask for Jon! He can put everything together for you. Tell him Mixon sent you.

You will need:
Bumper Cover
New Splash shields
Tow hook cover (5 day backorder)
4th brakelight (butt plug cover - re-used my oem)
New center lower rear brace.

You can reuse all of your hardware and you will need to reuse license plate clips and license plate lamp assembly.

I did my front and rear conversion on mine. The gap isnt as bad as some make it seem... honestly I dont even notice it unless someone like yourself reminds me of it on the forum.

bullitt5897 10-15-2015 10:33 AM

I did mine a little different:

I shaved all the emblems
I also used lexus gray metallic instead of OEM *more Pop*

New splash shields?:ugh2:

bullitt5897 10-15-2015 11:24 AM

Yeah that keeps the trash from collecting in your bumper... I mean you could go without but even my 2013 nismo ones did not cover the whole bumper opening.

DIGItonium 10-15-2015 12:49 PM

@bullitt5897, it's #TBT. When are you going throw up a video of yourself installing CF B-Pillar covers on your freshly painted car? :rofl2:

bullitt5897 10-15-2015 09:10 PM

Don't get me started with that... They don't call me Magic Mike for nothing!

funny you ask for that! :excited::excited::excited:

next week my Z will be back from the body shop and it will have 09-14 front nismo with the rest '15+ Nismo

If you look at the exhaust tips on my Z they are at least 3" short IMO….. gonna have to figure something out for that over the winter.

I noticed it today at the body shop…..

Anyone else with a non Nismo do the rear conversion and experience this????

I noticed an 09-14 Nismo exhaust seems to stick out farther on the conversions. :ugh2:

I've been thinking about this for a week now. The Nismo rear extends a couple inches so.....cat back exhaust time:happydance:

only problem is I wanted to wait to do my next exhaust overhaul for when I do boost (hoping for winter of '17 with cash in hand) I plan on going FI CBE with either the FI or BP turbo kits

for the time being I am going to look into modifying something existing to make what I got work……I will share my findings :tiphat:

no there has been a bunch of issues with my hood, in the end just putting the OEM one back on so they can finish painting it over the next couple of days.

I am dying to see this thing this is 3 weeks now no Z! :shakes head:

I think I am going to pop by on my way home to try and see how it is progressing

What is wrong with your hood?

edliaszenik 10-22-2015 05:52 PM

I really want to see a 15 Nismo with an aftermarket hood. That's what's really holding me back from doing the conversion.

cooltoy 10-22-2015 07:00 PM

Check the PS thread.

Fitment

It is almost like it is bowed. The arch on the side isn't lining up with the fenders nice. But the OEM one does and the car has not been damaged in any way to affect this.

my front is going to be 09-14 nismo though :icon17:

LMBmikeZ 10-22-2015 08:27 PM

I didn't make it by the shop today.

Hwy 401 traffic was retarded today……..:shakes head:

I wasn't getting out of my "fast lane position" to make my way off the highway only to get farther back in line. lol

phunk 10-23-2015 04:07 PM

I hate to be that guy... but seeing as how this is 42 pages long...

has anyone compiled a complete part # list to do the 15 nismo front end conversion to a non-nismo car?

edliaszenik 10-23-2015 04:19 PM

There are a few people that have already compiled the list for both front and rear conversions. Unfortunately uoure just going to have to dig through this thread until someone is nice enough to post a complete list or walk through separately.

phunk 10-23-2015 04:51 PM

Ill probably just call my dealer parts department and let him worry about it, LOL.

dkznyc 10-23-2015 04:56 PM

I only bought the bumper.

zefaulter 10-25-2015 12:12 AM

Something like this

I've been on the fence on the upgrade with a 2009 MB Touring until I finished mocking up how it will look. I guess it's time to order and let Greyhound do the driving.

I would really like to convert mine but I think instead of the red peices maybe black or even color match those blue?

I just ordered these 7 parts.

Aviator44 10-28-2015 04:11 PM

Are most people ordering straight through their local dealer or from someone on the forums? Dealer quoted me $380 for the front bumper. I'm curious if there's someone selling them for less.

edliaszenik 10-28-2015 05:51 PM

380 is about what I've seen for a fair price. Keep in mind that's not everything you'll need

cooltoy 11-03-2015 09:23 AM

For those who want to add the spoiler as well.
