Water leaking into the passenger side... help?

Anyone know of any good tape that can withstand all types of weather? Maybe if we tape the entire grommet with the wires far enough out, it can prevent the

Maybe if we tape the entire grommet with the wires far enough out, it can prevent the leak? I was thinking about using electrical tape but not sure how it will hold up against Chicago weather.
