So now I wash my car once every 3-6 months because I'm fearful (my car smelled for months before I knew the problem), and I drive 80 miles each way to go back to the dealer, complain, plead that they replace the fuckíng thing but the guy ends up installing some 3M caulk tape...

My old Z had this same problem come up, nissan changed the rubber on the passenger side, but to no avail. Good luck bud
Can you cut a small hole in the passenger carpet and use that to seal the hole? It's not the best but compared to the wiring loom, 100x better. If it's anything like the driver's side, it will be high enough up to not be visible

I fixed the leak recently.
I used RTV and created a gasket under the grommet. Worked like a charm. Now I have no more leaks. Just for those that are wondering how to fix it. |

I am having this same problem, except on both sides (driver and passenger) ...some days, I have standing water on my floor mats. Other days, it just builds up under the carpet and soaks the entire side. I noticed you guys were mentioning that rubber grommet. I haven't dug too deep, but does anyone have photos by chance? I'd really appreciate any advice on this. Like others mentioned, the smell and it's ruining the luxury of owning this car.
Thanks for any pointers. |

I had the same issue with my Nismo when they installed the built in Radar detector and custom stereo in my car.
One of the retards at custom sounds forgot to..... Have you had anything added to your car?

Another aftermarket mod (turbo) that undid an OEM component rendering the car less-than-functional. Glad I don't have that particular bug (mod bug). It certainly does seem to cause a lot of grief around here.

Fortunately I think it only leaks when I use a pressurized spray. |

I have seen this used on other cars with water leaks with great success. But the **** they use for repairing soles on running shoes. It comes in a jar much like rubber cement and also has a brush so you can really push it into the openings.

Anyone know of any good tape that can withstand all types of weather? Maybe if we tape the entire grommet with the wires far enough out, it can prevent the leak?
I was thinking about using electrical tape but not sure how it will hold up against Chicago weather. |

That's just contact cement. I don't think that's thick enough to deal well
