It's 6061 aluminum so it's got some weight, but I wouldn't call it heavy. It's probably slightly heavier than the weighted stock knob, but it's spread out over a larger area. I designed it so I can use a pistol style grip when shifting away from me (1,3,5) and an overhand pull for shifting towards me (2,4,6). The length gives a lot of leverage for quick downshifts into 2nd and 4th.

I appreciate that, but this was nothing. You should check out my Mustang thread if you want to see a real project... I'm kind of surprised/disappointed nobody seemed to care about that one.
