Default WeatherTech FloorLiner review.

Hey everyone.

I used to, as a joke, have my WeatherTech FloorLiners listed in my sig as a 'mod'. I actually received several PMs about if I liked them. So I figured that I would write a review:

Spoiler...I love them.

I don't care for carpeted mats. The biggest issue is that they do a terrible job keeping water off the floor. They also tend to move around on me so they need to be pulled back in place blah blah.

My one concern with the FloorLiners was the material. I was concerned that it was a hard plastic that would offer little grip for my heel. I was pleased to not even think about that concern once I put them in place. The material gives just enough to my heel (specifically dress shoes) to give me a solid foundation even when wet. At the same time there is enough hardness that I feel they will last as long or longer than carpeted mats.

Installation was very simple. They come in a flat box so there is no issue with curling. They are flexible but again don't have that 'rubber' or 'floppy' behavior. You just slide them right in.

As you can see from the pictures the fit is spot on. So the annoyance of mats moving around is a thing of the past.

For $120 with shipping I can't imagine going back to carpeted mats. I love these.

Some notes on the pictures. First, I moved the seats all the way back. The flash reflects off the liners making them look like they 'stand out' against the floor. This is a flash/picture effect. Second, the picture that shows how the liners go over the mat hooks is with the driver's seat all the way back. The picture that shows the WeatherTech logo is a better representation of what the driver's side looks like. Lastly, the passenger side picture is also with the seat all the way back and with the camera low on the seat. When sitting in the seat you cannot see the front lip and as I said before, they blend very well.

I need some of these. Adjusting these walmarts mats is getting old.

It was the first mod in my car, put them in 45minutes after driving the car home from the dealer.

Very happy with them.

Just finished vacuuming my Weathertechs clean. Here in FL sand is a real nuisance so these work out very well. In the snow belt I be they're even better, keeping salt, sand and crap out of your carpet. I also paid about 120 for mine with shipping included. Good deal. I'll never go back to traditional. I even had the "Monogrammed" Z mats they hardly looked used. I'll save them for when it's time to sell it.

These mats should be good for the rainy seasons up here in Vancouver

Question for those who own these, I hate the cloth to rubber on the OEM mats (my foot can tell the difference) and I am always adjusting my foot. Does this provide a solid feel for the heel no matter where I put my foot?

That was one of my major concerns before purchasing them. I have not given it a second thought since putting them in a month ago. The rubber gives enough to provide a solid grip for even hard heel shoes, even when wet. At the same time the rubber feels hard enough that they are going to last...an excellent balance. ...I have the FloorLiner.

Weathertech's HQ and main showroom is literally right down the street from me. I got them for my wife's Tiguan and we love them in that. Was wondering how they would work in the Z.....thx!

Down the street? I just e-mailed them and told them they should join the site and offer us a discount! You should go down there and plaster the370z.com decals all over their windows. ...even though I already bought mine!

They should also make custom name inserts! I'm such a dork.
