Exact same problem here. Replaced the battery and nothing has improved. I usually have to stand inches from the handle and it still takes me anywhere between 1 and 6

Exact same problem here. Replaced the battery and nothing has improved. I usually have to stand inches from the handle and it still takes me anywhere between 1 and 6 or 7 pushes to get it unlocked. Less frequently, once I sit down the key is not recognized in my pocket and I have to insert it.
I went to the dealer and they want around $200 to replace it. WTF?!?
