I've got the wedge engineering brackets. They don't really sit much higher, they are just the height of the bar stock, but they do sit up higher than I would like. I think bottom mounted seats instead of side are the only real option. I had to basically drill new holes in my side brackets and put the seat down on the rail to get them low enough.
