These are actually wrapped pieces around the OEM plastic. Actually FERRARI does the exact same thing on their steering wheel, as do we but charge 5000 for the wheels  SAME WITH PORSCHE... since you seem to be more knowledgeable about there parts than me
This isnt some double sided tape job THATS OVERLAY. This is hand wrapped carbon fiber with resin and clear coat.
