There are a few vendors that sell the Authentic kit, and a couple that sell a replica kit. Search around and you will find them. I have owned both a replica and an Authentic kit now and I would go with an Authentic kit if I were you.

The money spent on the real part will pay for itself when it comes to having it painted and installed.

In accordance to what it cost me to do my amuse rear i say $1800 for a replica amuse.

It's fiberglass and no matter what needs to be filled and sanded smooth and WILL require some body work to make it fit perfect.

What is the authentic amuse kit made of? I thought it was fiberglass as well.

Authentic is overpriced. My replica fit and looks perfect, plus it has carbon fiber in it which you cant get with authentic. Carbon fiber in my opinion makes this bumper. So unless you live in japan where authentic amuse would be A LOT cheaper. Go with replica. Go to a decent body shop and with part, install, and paint.... I only paid $1,200 total.

I'm considering amuse replica also right now, was that just for one bumper for front and rear?

They make the authentic amuse in full CF.. I do understand that the authentic is expensive, but if company's keep producing replica parts it will give no reason for the major players to continue to keep supporting us (enthusiasts) This is exactly what happened when I had my G37 and I was lined up to be the Kenstyle test fit car, and the project got scrapped because of how few units were sold for the G35. just my opinion and I am not bashing any members who are running replica kits as it still looks great, just putting it into a different perspective.

Chiming in here...

I have an authentic Amuse kit, ordered from 370ztune (Bulletproof Automotive) in late 2011.

Bulletproof added the CF to my kit once it got to the US in the spring of 2012. Its on the bottom front lip of the front bumper, center sections of the rear bumper, and center top section of the wing.

I believe in supporting original designs and that's why I spent the money to buy an authentic kit. I realize not everyone can justify spending that much on a bodykit, but you really do get what you pay for. The shop that painted and fitted my kit was surprised at the quality of the kit and commented on how little work they needed to do to get it fitted. Even though mr Reaper up there claims his replica bumper was perfect, I remember him posting pics when he first got it and you could actually see through the carbon fiber weave.. but i'm sure its perfect.

In the end its up to you, i'm not trying to start a replica vs real debate here, but to me it was important, which is why I went the authentic route.

Hit me up via PM if you want to talk more about it.

I have personally discussed with the VP of Nissan Performance here in the US and he even says that the japanese community overseas doesn't much care for the US market. Its not that they hate Americans, its just they have their own thing going on over there and aren't that interested with sharing with the rest of the world just yet. Buying the authentic amuse kit, you are paying A LOT more than you would if you were a normal kid living over in Japan. So a lot of people need to realize that you arent really paying so much for an extremely higher quality kit. You are paying for the japanese not really caring to sell those parts in the US market. I have an authentic amuse single exit exhaust system, and I can tell you its a piece of ****, multiple welds completely failed after not even 5k miles. Compared to my fabulous, made in America Fast Intentions exhaust which after many miles still looks as fantastic as the day I got it brand new. So if you wanna pay the extra cash for exchange rates and international shipping (not build quality) and then pay even more to have carbon fiber added on top of the FRP bumper then go ahead. The replica I have with the "see through" was because light shining through the unfinished carbon fiber weave, after the bumper was prepped and painted there is no more "see through" And other than that little nickpicking the bumper fit great and is very sturdy and well made.

So idk about some people, but I am all about creating jobs in the USA, and if the japanese companies like Amuse want to stick to their current business models, that they dont really care to sell to US market, than thats fine by me, at least I supported a working man here in the US.

And by all means, if companies like Amuse want to make an ACTUAL presence in the US market with their products, then I will fully support that and buy products from the "original designer" since Ill be paying same prices a Fairlady Z owner in japan pays.

Oh oh. Another rep vs authentic thread. It boils down to supply and demand. If there is no demand because the price is too steep, then the market will determine who wins......or loose. Bottom line, there are a few who price themselves out of the market place. I'm not saying the reps are a solution either but manufacturers should be able to figure out what the landscape will be both on the production and consumer side.

As for the saying you get what you pay for.......you also get what you pay for at such a bargain with reps manufactured in the US. Professional installers and reputable shops would admit it hard to tell the difference once reps are installed -- unless you buy the cheap e-bay items. If you put a bunch of Amuse cars next to each other and do a walk around can you really tell the difference because the quality of paint, finish, and install is just as important as the kit itself. You may have an authentic alright but if it is hacked onto your car then you just might as well have your 5 year old girl bedazzle your Z.

Wasn't wanting it to go that way at all. Just looking at it in a different direction.

I get what you're saying. Funny how we all get drawn into these. Our opinion matters and that's what counts I suppose. BTW, tracking your awesome build but that's another story.
