It's hard to tell from photos on the internet - in some of them, Passion Red almost looks like a metallic deep pink or magenta. Of course, none of the dealers close to me have any Passion Red cars in stock. I'm close to giving up on trying to find a 370Z in solid red with the spec and equipment I want, but before ordering a new one in Passion Red, I need to get comfortable with what it would look like.

Thank you!

Passion red is more of a darker color red. I think it is one beautiful color on the 370Z if you are into the color red. Solid red is more of a lighter red color. Magenta red would be the only color you posted that it would look closest to. Go to your local Nissan dealership of your choice and see a passion red Nissan 370Z in person and see how you like it?

I purchased a passion red Z in November, love the color! It is hard to explain the color, it's definitely a deeper red.

At night with the right lighting, passion red is FERRARIESQUE! It's a unique red to anything out there. It's like a unique red nail polish the hottest chic at Walgreens is looking for.

Nissan are MORONS for not making that a NISMO color instead. But if Nissan knew how to push this sports car? We wouldn't be on here with question marks about a Z35, would we?

If I was interested in a Non Nismo Z? Passion red would be it and I'd order JDM tails.

I agree but since the 2015 facelift on the Nismo, its the only way to go, prior 2014-2009s are nice but you can't ignore the trememdous bargin advantage in the sport package from those years.

Last year i went to the Nissan dealer to buy some parts for my 2003 350Z.

Once at the dealer parking lot i walked to the entry and parked just in front of the door there were two 37OZ. One was dark blue and the other one was Passion Red...Believe it or not i immediatly felt in love with the passion red color car so i went to see a Nissan selsman (friend of mine) and after few minutes talk he took my car back in exchange and i bougt my new 2018 370Z passion red...this is how looks the 370Z passion red ...irresistable....one of the beatiest color i have ever seen...
When you park the car under the sun the red deep color shine and is absolutely beautiful.

Lpcalhoun and boby370z, thank you very much! None of the Nissan dealers in my area have anything in Passion red (not many Nissans sold in Oregon...).

The color looks fantastic! Does it have any metallic in it? Or is it non-metallic?

Thanks again!

UNKNOWN_370, I love your description of Passion Red as the color the hottest chick at Walgreens is looking for in a nail polish color - a very vivid image!

I completely agree with you about Nissan's non-existent marketing on the 370Z. Carlos Ghosn and other Nissan executives complain that there is no market for sports cars anymore, and they point to their selling only 4,614 370Z's last year. But what do they expect when they spend ZERO on marketing the car? So many people I've run into don't even know that Nissan still even makes the 370Z!

So many people gripe that the only small, simple, sports coupe available is the Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ, but they complain that it doesn't have enough power, and if only there was a car like that with more power. There is - the 370Z - but no one knows about it. Many people I've run into think that the 370Z was discontinued. If you don't promote it, don't be surprised that few people buy it.

I'm also deeply frustrated at my experiences with Nissan dealers so far. I’ve been trying to buy a new 370Z for the past 6 months, but haven’t been able to yet because of sleazy dealer games. I’ve been buying cars for almost 45 years (yes, I'm old...), of almost all brands, and have never run into such an untrustworthy and slimy bunch as the Nissan dealers I’ve talked with. Every one has pulled bait-and-switch pricing games on me. They advertise one price and then pull another, much higher one out of their butts when I try to close the deal. Or, they just don't want to deal with me at all on a 370Z, because they don't have one in stock and don't want to both ordering one. I’m a cash buyer, and can’t find an ethical Nissan dealer to give it to.

Consider buying out of state on a forum recommendation. I think what you're going thru is a Oregon issue. What type of Z are you shopping?

I experienced the same exact thing, if it weren't for the Z Nissan would be pretty dead to me after months of dealing with really shitty dealers. Ford and Mazda were among the best. I ended up buying mine from Carmax which went well.

UNKNOWN_370, the lack of 370Z supply is definitely an Oregon thing. Small population in the state plus no interest in sports cars in this area means no local inventory. The Oregon dealers have searched, and there are no 370Z's in stock within 500 miles.

I've been searching nationwide. I'm willing to ship a car here (it's the only way I'll get one). I've found that the Nissan dealers in Maryland, Virginia, Utah, and Washington are the worst as far as bait-and-switch pricing. Those states must have weak consumer protection laws. They advertise an attractive price, but when I try to move forward, the 'actual' price comes back thousands of dollars higher. Their advertised prices include an impossible combination of special discounts - recent student graduate plus ex-military plus current Nissan owner plus 'VPP' - work for Nissan or a supplier. If you don't have all of those, the actual price is several thousand dollars higher.

I've never experienced this kind of sleaze from any other brand. It's enough to turn me off to Nissan's forever.

I'm looking for a specific combination - a Sport Tech with 6 speed manual, in red. Since this is purely a fun car, kind of have my heart set on that combination. Not many like that out there.

I too had to have red z a few years ago. 4 out of my 5 last cars were red. I passed on 2 used red ones that were both beat to crap. settled on grey which is ok, but I was more happy that I got one that was low miles, a sport model and loaded. what I'm trying to say, yes the red is beautiful, but don't buy a car based solely on color. I've always thought red is the best color for a sports car and never understood why the z in red was so rare. good luck.

Default Fustrations

I can understand a realistic buyers plight, these cars are so scrace, and dealers have been treating them as a spring/summer item only. When I went into a dealer back in 2009 they had three new Zs in inventory. I test drove one but wasn't overly sold and asked the salesman about monterey blue, his response you don't want that color, terrible for resale, just stick to black, grey, white, silver. I said I would only take a white one if I couldn't find the blue. He said you would have to order a 2010. I had already found a blue 6mt, with the sport pkag. at a Lotus Lambo dealer in Chicago with only 300 miles on it. This was late 2009 the recession was in full swing, I offered 29K and bought it, covered transport only cost 350 dollars. Now my local dealer has been pestering me to sell/trade and offered me 15K I told them I wouldn't take less than 25K considering to many elements I care to list right now, good luck

I've seen 'passion red' a few times this week. Especially when she walks out in those sexy negligees and slinky garter and stockings combinations.

It's like a Rio Red Mustang had in late 90's. Like a tinted red.
