The towels from zaino are so soft, they are softer than toilet paper.
They are so soft you just want to rub them on your face.
They are so soft that i have not felt any thing as soft as them in a long time.

You getting my point? the towel it self is not capable of scratching the car.
If it has debri's in it then it could but so could any towel.

Your microfiber towel is a gamble on is it quality or is it not.

As for wash mitt i have been testing with a microfiber wash mitt from walmart verses my old cotton one. I think its okay so far i have not seen increased tiny scratches yet. but its still on going i dont know yet if its good.

The absorber works great! I would even say it's the best in drying the car off IMO. The shamwow blows! It still leaves streaks and spots. It's good for the kitchen though. For detailing I use the costco micro fiber rags. The car I had before the Z was black. I never had problems with swirls on it. I love it on my Z!

As for will 100% cotton scratch your car? any thing can probably scratch your car but as long as you clean it with liquid tide free of dyes and perfumes and make sure there is no debri's in it you should be fine with cotton.
Thank you Forrest. +Rep added for the assistance.

I have your Zaino guide printed up and ready for use in the coming weeks.

P.S. I hope I didn't come off as not believing you, Forrest. I am just a man with a lot of questions, and I'm very cautious about washing/caring for a black car. I appreciate all the help man!

Adam's Polishes - Adam's True Blue Super-Plush Towels 2-Pak

The above are amazing microfiber towels. I always blow dry my car with a very clean leaf blower...........no drying chamois what so ever.

The big packs that they sell at Costco have always worked great for me. And they come in bulk!

i use same strategy as you with leaf blower but i just use a real large bath towel 100% cotton and gently get the left over water.

Meguiar's X2010 Supreme Shine Microfiber

'nuff said.

I think that the issues with scratches that most see are they either forget to remove the tag on the towel itself or it's the edges that scratch or swirl the paint.

I'm saying they will eventually get them because of the constant friction from whiping no matter what you use.

I cant see anyone drying off their car with a towel, just dont see how it's possible.

I only use 100% cotton towels made in the USA. I had problems finding quality microfiber. I have a black car with zero swirl marks. I use Zaino and its great, no waterspots even though it rained 8 straight days here. I have 6000 miles on the car since Jan 15 so I put some miles on it too.

I use 14 100% cotton washrags for washing (1) and drying (7 or 8 ). I just have 14 so I have enough. I also use a 100% cotton waffle towel from detailed image to do my initial drying (it is AWESOME) and the rethickulous towel (softest towel in the world IMO) from detailed image to do my final runover, more of a buffing than drying. You do need to wash them in hot water after every use (I use gain), no fabric softeners, and be ready to replace them when they stop being soft, but thats a while.

I do it every week. I have no swirl marks or scratches at all. none. this is the first black car I have had that I can say that. My friend with a brand new black Audi A5 hates me. hahaha

100% cotton made in USA terrycloth washrags & Zaino Z5.
