unusually warm drivers side footwell?

I have a Vert and it gets very hot in summer driving normal speed with the top down. It feels like the heat is on coming from the floor vent.

It feels like the heat is on coming from the floor vent. I've tried to use the recirulate mode but it's still hot. I guess the only solution is to turn on the A/C and direct it to the floor.
