Default Carbon fiber weave showing after paint job

Hey guys wanted to get your input on something, less than a year ago I had my seibon carbon fiber hood painted to match my car, well lately iv noticed the weave or carbon fiber pattern become more visible under the paint job, is that normal? Can carbon fiber be painted in a way that the weaves will never show up, or do you think I should be talking to the guy who did the job and have him fix the issue?

I don't think it should gradually become more visible if the paint job was legit. I would talk to the painter to have it fixed. I have painted CF parts and don't have that issue at all...

Sounds like there wasn't enough resin used when they sealed the CF. I had a Seibon spoiler on my 350 and it was pretty thin.

Yeah, get the painter to look at it. They could always use some polyester primer to fill the weave, sand, paint, done.

After working with CF for the last month I'd say its a combination of that hood having really thin resin combined with some very thin paint.

That should not happen normally

The cf shrunk, and he did a crappy job of sealing/priming it. Block it smooth and respray.

you can get dupont epoxy primer it works fine and I feel you can get it in Bahrain. Then buy also dupoint base coat paint, hardner and chromo series clear coat, works the best in our weather
